Aevo Will Reintroduce Rewards for Specific Campaigns

Jun 27, 2024 at 12:24 am

Aevo's Marketing and Growth Committee has announced the potential reintroduction of rewards for specific campaigns, such as new product launches

Aevo Will Reintroduce Rewards for Specific Campaigns

After hitting an all-time high of $4.46 in early 2024, AEVO underwent a significant price decrease, leading to new steps by the project.

In recent months, the project has adjusted its trading rewards and emissions program based on market conditions. However, due to the decreasing trading volume and weak altcoin market, the project's team has announced that the trading rewards campaign will not be renewed.

This decision comes after multiple adjustments to the trading rewards and emissions of $AEVO, with the effectiveness of campaigns being assessed and no progress being made.

Aevo Will Reintroduce Rewards for Specific Campaigns

According to an announcement by Aevo’s Marketing and Growth Committee, the project may reintroduce rewards for specific campaigns, such as new product launches and special events. These rewards will be short-term and not part of a multi-month program.

As part of the original $AEVO tokenomics, which were approved in AGP-1, Aevo will use a portion of the surplus revenue generated by its decentralized exchange (DEX) to conduct token buybacks. This initiative aims to enhance the value for holders of the $AEVO token.

Starting in July and continuing through December, Aevo will purchase at least 1 million $AEVO tokens each month. To prevent any market manipulation, these buybacks will be carried out randomly on a weekly basis.

The buybacks will be handled by the DAO using a treasury multisig wallet. For transparency, Aevo will share the wallet address for public verification. All tokens that are bought back will be credited to the central DAO Treasury.

To implement any future changes to the tokenomics, such as token burns or new rewards programs, a vote by the token holders will be required. This initiative reflects Aevo’s commitment to enhancing the value and sustainability of the $AEVO token.

Aevo Price Fell 88% in 3 Months

Once a promising altcoin, Aevo has seen its price drastically decrease from a high of $3.55 on March 28 to currently trading at $0.50, indicating a substantial loss in value over the past three months.

Meanwhile, in other Layer 2 protocol news, ZKSync is preparing for a large-scale airdrop. They plan to distribute nearly 18% of their ZK token supply, which equates to 21 billion tokens, although the specific airdrop date has yet to be announced.

In another development, Arbitrum is launching a bold initiative to support its gaming ecosystem. Over the next two years, they will allocate 200 million ARB to their DAO, aiming to strengthen their presence in the growing blockchain gaming sector. These moves highlight the dynamic shifts occurring within the cryptocurrency and blockchain landscapes.
