The AB Charity Foundation, operating jointly as AB Foundation and AB Blockchain, has announced the addition of ten globally recognized statespersons and international affairs experts to its Senior Advisory Board. This engagement is a significant expansion of the Foundation’s strategic think tank and is poised to amplify its efforts in advancing philanthropy through technological innovation and global partnerships.
This latest round of appointments expands the Foundation’s advisory network to five continents, with nearly thirty members. This collective, which includes current and former heads of state, leaders of global organizations, and senior policy experts, is being assembled as a “Global Philanthropy Strategy Engine.” It will be able to mobilize across cultures, institutions, and sectors to forge large-scale collaboration for greater good.
Announcing the appointments, Bertie Ahern, who chairs the AB Charity Foundation and is a former Prime Minister of Ireland, highlighted the importance of combining policy leadership with emerging technologies. He stated, “To achieve a trustworthy, more inclusive, and sustainable global philanthropic ecosystem, we need to align governance knowledge with digital innovation. Moreover, we must join forces to advance the ‘Tech for Good’ initiative in a rapidly changing world.”
The AB Charity Foundation is continuing to expand its governance and advisory framework. It is also deepening collaboration with key players in international development, including United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations, governmental institutions, and major technology companies. The goal is to support and scale verifiable acts of goodwill in areas critical to human and environmental well-being: education, public health, ecological conservation, and disaster response.
The individuals who have joined the Senior Advisory Board will bring strategic insight and diplomatic expertise that will be invaluable in enhancing the Foundation’s operational effectiveness and global legitimacy. Their diverse geopolitical and professional backgrounds will be instrumental in broadening the Foundation’s reach and impact.
The AB Charity Foundation is an independent international non-governmental organization, registered in Ireland and having EU legal status. It operates with technical backing from AB DAO, integrating advanced technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence to build a next-generation philanthropic infrastructure. Operating at the nexus of governance and technology, the Foundation supports a model that prioritizes accountability, transparency, and scalability in delivering the largest global public goods.
In addition to its charitable programs, the Foundation’s native digital asset, $AB, is available for trading on more than a dozen cryptocurrency exchanges. These include Bitget, HTX, MEXC, Gate, BingX, BitMart, DigiFinex, LBank, Hotcoin, Biconomy, BTSE, UEEx, WEEX, and 4E. The increasing presence of $AB in the cryptocurrency market signifies the Foundation’s expanding role in the decentralized finance domain.
With its expanding network of advisors and ongoing technological integration, the AB Charity Foundation is taking significant steps in restructuring how global philanthropy is organized and delivered. The Foundation’s leadership is merging institutional governance with technological potential to create a more transparent, inclusive, and impactful model of philanthropy on a worldwide scale.
