Gordon is averaging 18.2 points on 49.2 percent shooting and 40 percent from 3, providing a much-needed scoring punch behind Jokic and Jamal Murray for the Nuggets, who have surprisingly taken a 3-2 series lead.

He’s been about as consistent as can be during the series, too, scoring at least 14 points in every game while drawing Leonard on the defensive end.

Gordon’s increase in scoring actually draws back to late in the regular season, when the veteran forward provided more and more on the offensive end as he got healthy during the spring months.

After the All-Star break, Gordon averaged 18.9 points on an excellent 56.6 percent shooting overall and 45.9 from deep on 4.5 attempts per game.
