how to add shiba inu to metamask
To add Shiba Inu (SHIB) to your MetaMask wallet, simply visit the MetaMask website, download and install the browser extension, create or import a wallet, add the Polygon Mainnet custom network (if necessary), search for "Shiba Inu" in the "Assets" tab, and click "Add."
Oct 19, 2024 at 10:54 pm
- Visit the MetaMask website to download and install the browser extension compatible with your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, etc.).
- If you don't have an existing MetaMask wallet, create a new one using the on-screen prompts.
- If you have an existing ledger wallet, import it into MetaMask.
- SHIB is built on the Ethereum blockchain, so you may not need to add a custom network if you have already set up Ethereum Mainnet.
However, if you want to use a specific testnet or chain for SHIB, follow the steps:
- Go to "Settings" in your MetaMask wallet.
- Click on "Networks" and then "Add Network."
Enter the following details for the Polygon network:
- Network Name: Polygon Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com/
- ChainID: 137
- Symbol: MATIC
- Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/
- Go to the "Assets" tab in your MetaMask wallet.
- Click on "Add Token" and search for "Shiba Inu."
- Select the "SHIB" token and click "Add."
- Check the "Assets" tab to ensure that SHIB has been added to your wallet.
- You should see the SHIB token icon and the balance displayed.
- Ensure that you are sending SHIB to the correct Metamask wallet address.
- You can purchase SHIB from cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase, or Uniswap.
- Once you add SHIB to MetaMask, you can store it, send it, or use it for decentralized applications (dApps) that support the Ethereum blockchain.
