How to Receive Bitcoin on PayPal
Step 1: Create a PayPal Account
If you don't already have one, create a free PayPal account at www.paypal.com.
Step 2: Enable Cryptocurrency Feature
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click on "Settings" in the top-right corner.
- Under "Account Preferences," click on "Cryptocurrency."
- Turn on the "Enable Cryptocurrency" toggle.
Step 3: Add a Bitcoin Wallet
- Click on "Add a Wallet."
- Select "Bitcoin."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create a Bitcoin wallet.
Step 4: Receive Bitcoin
Once you have a Bitcoin wallet set up on PayPal, you can receive Bitcoin by sharing your wallet address with the sender. The sender can use any Bitcoin wallet or exchange to transfer Bitcoin to your address.
Step 5: Withdraw Bitcoin
If you wish to withdraw your Bitcoin from PayPal, you will need to convert it to your local currency first.
- Go to the "Cryptocurrency" page.
- Click on "Sell" and enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to withdraw.
- Select your withdrawal method (e.g., bank transfer) and follow the prompts.
Additional Notes:
- PayPal charges a fee for both receiving and withdrawing Bitcoin.
- The minimum amount of Bitcoin that can be received or withdrawn is 0.0001 BTC.
- PayPal does not store your Bitcoin on its platform. Instead, it uses a third-party custodian for safekeeping.
