How to Use a Bitcoin Depot ATM
Step 1: Locate a Bitcoin Depot ATM
- Visit the Bitcoin Depot website: https://bitcoindepot.com/
- Click on "Find an ATM" to locate the nearest ATM.
Step 2: Create an Account (Optional)
- You can choose to create a Bitcoin Depot account for easier future transactions.
- If you don't want to create an account, you can still make a one-time purchase.
Step 3: Verify Your Identity (If Creating an Account)
- Enter your phone number and email address.
- Follow the steps provided by Bitcoin Depot to verify your identity using SMS or email.
Step 4: Approach the ATM
- Insert your cash into the bill acceptor slot.
- Enter your phone number or scan the QR code on the ATM screen if you created an account.
Step 5: Enter the Amount of Bitcoin
- Specify the amount of Bitcoin (BTC) you want to purchase.
- Confirm the purchase amount and review the transaction details.
Step 6: Scan Your Bitcoin Wallet Address
- Use your smartphone's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the ATM screen.
- Alternatively, you can manually enter your wallet address.
Step 7: Complete the Transaction
- Review all transaction details again and select "Buy Bitcoin."
- Wait a few minutes while the ATM processes your transaction.
