How to view NFT collection on Coinbase Wallet? (Digital Assets)
To view NFTs in Coinbase Wallet, open the app, go to Assets → NFTs, ensure the correct network (e.g., Ethereum or Polygon) is enabled, and refresh if needed—no gas fees required.

Accessing NFT Collections in Coinbase Wallet
1. Open the Coinbase Wallet mobile application on your iOS or Android device. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version to support full NFT functionality.
2. Tap the Assets tab located at the bottom navigation bar. This section displays all digital assets associated with your wallet, including tokens and NFTs.
3. Scroll down until you see the NFTs section. If no NFTs appear, verify that your wallet is connected to a supported network like Ethereum or Polygon, as NFT visibility depends on chain selection.
4. Tap on any listed NFT to view its metadata, ownership history, and on-chain provenance. The interface renders image previews, token ID, contract address, and current network status.
5. Swipe left or right within the NFT detail screen to navigate between items in the same collection, provided they are held in the same wallet address.
Connecting to Supported Blockchains
1. Navigate to the Settings icon (gear symbol) in the top-right corner of the Assets screen.
2. Select Networks to review active chains. Ethereum Mainnet and Polygon are enabled by default for NFT display; Arbitrum and Base require manual activation.
3. Toggle on additional networks where your NFTs reside. Each activated chain triggers a background scan for compatible ERC-721 and ERC-1155 contracts.
4. After enabling a new network, return to the Assets tab and wait up to 30 seconds for the NFT list to refresh automatically.
5. If an NFT still does not appear, confirm that the smart contract is verified on Etherscan or Polygonscan and complies with standard token interfaces.
Viewing Hidden or Unrecognized NFTs
1. Tap the three-dot menu next to the NFTs header and select Show hidden NFTs. This reveals assets flagged as low-confidence due to incomplete metadata or non-standard rendering logic.
2. Manually add an NFT by selecting Add NFT and entering the contract address and token ID. This bypasses auto-detection limitations for custom or newly deployed collections.
3. Verify the contract’s source code on-chain before inputting details. Unverified contracts may display placeholder images or inaccurate attributes.
4. Some NFTs minted via lazy minting protocols require off-chain metadata resolution. Coinbase Wallet attempts to fetch these via IPFS or Arweave gateways but may fail if the URI is inaccessible.
5. Refresh the NFT list after adding a custom item by pulling down on the Assets screen to trigger a forced re-index.
Managing Collection Visibility Preferences
1. Go to Settings > NFT Preferences to configure how collections appear in your main view.
2. Enable or disable grouping by collection name. When enabled, multiple NFTs from the same contract consolidate under one expandable header.
3. Adjust thumbnail quality settings based on your device’s storage capacity. High-resolution previews consume more local cache space.
4. Toggle on Show rarity scores if the collection publishes trait-based scarcity data through approved analytics providers.
5. Clear NFT cache independently from token balances by selecting Reset NFT Display Data, which forces a full re-sync during the next app launch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do some NFTs show a blank image or generic icon?A: Blank thumbnails occur when the metadata URI returns an invalid response, the image link is broken, or the file format is unsupported (e.g., .glb without WebGL context). Coinbase Wallet currently supports PNG, JPG, GIF, and SVG natively.
Q: Can I view NFTs owned by another wallet address?A: No. Coinbase Wallet only displays NFTs tied directly to the private keys controlled by that specific wallet instance. Cross-wallet viewing requires third-party explorers like Blur or OpenSea.
Q: Do I need ETH or MATIC in my wallet to view NFTs?A: No. Viewing NFTs is a read-only operation requiring no gas fees. However, transferring or interacting with them later will require native chain tokens for transaction signing.
Q: Are NFTs stored on Coinbase Wallet backed up with my seed phrase?A: Yes. Ownership is derived from your private key, which is recoverable using the 12-word recovery phrase. The NFT itself exists on-chain; the wallet merely provides access and rendering logic.
