How to Create a Trust Wallet Account with a Phone Number
- Install the Trust Wallet app.
- First, you need to install the official Trust Wallet app from your app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
- Download size: Around 60 MB, depending on your device.
- In-app purchases: Yes, to purchase cryptocurrencies.
- In-app advertising: No.
- Open the Trust Wallet app and select "New Wallet."
- Upon launching the app for the first time, you will be presented with two options: "New Wallet" and "Import Wallet." Select "New Wallet" to create a new Trust Wallet account, which will involve setting up a recovery phrase for enhanced security.
- Write down your recovery phrase.
- After carefully reading and acknowledging the importance of the recovery phrase, tap "Continue."
- The app will generate a 12-word recovery phrase, which acts as a backup of your wallet and should be stored securely in a safe place, preferably offline (e.g., written down on paper).
- Confirm your recovery phrase.
- To ensure that you have correctly written down the recovery phrase, the app will ask you to re-enter it.
- Once confirmed, the app will prompt you to create a password, which should be strong and unique.
- Add a phone number.
- Once the password is set up, the app will then prompt you to add a phone number.
- Ensure that you enter a valid phone number to complete the sign-up process and enhance the security of your wallet.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
- For additional security, Trust Wallet offers two-factor authentication (2FA) via text message or Google Authenticator.
- Choose your preferred method, enter the necessary information (e.g., email address for Google Authenticator), and follow the on-screen instructions to activate 2FA.
- Start using your Trust Wallet.
- With everything set up, you can start using your Trust Wallet to manage your crypto assets, including sending, receiving, buying, and exchanging cryptocurrencies.
- The wallet supports a wide range of crypto assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Binance Coin (BNB), as well as various popular dApps in the Web3 ecosystem.
