How to transfer funds from bybit account to MetaMask wallet
Transferring cryptocurrency from Bybit to MetaMask requires network matching and careful verification of addresses. It is recommended to test small amounts first and wait patiently for blockchain confirmation.
Apr 03, 2025 at 11:41 am

Get your receiving address and confirm the network in MetaMask.
Initiate a withdrawal operation in Bybit, fill in the MetaMask address and select the correct network.
Waiting for blockchain confirmation, funds arrive at the MetaMask wallet.
Open MetaMask Wallet: Unlock your MetaMask browser plug-in or mobile app.
Select the correct network (Chain/Network):
MetaMask supports multiple blockchain networks (such as Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Smart Chain (BSC), Pulygon, Arbitrum, etc.).
You must determine the network you want to receive assets and make sure Bybit supports withdrawing the currency you want to transfer from that network.
For example: If you want to receive ETH or ERC20 tokens (such as USDT-ERC20), usually choose 'Ethereum Mainnet'. If you want to receive BNB or BEP20 tokens (such as USDT-BEP20), select 'BNB Smart Chain'.
Click the network name at the top of MetaMask (such as 'Ethereum Mainnet') to switch the network. If the network list does not have the network you need, you need to add it manually (you can find information at Chainlist.org or refer to the official MetaMask tutorial).
Copy your wallet address:
After selecting the network, your wallet address will be displayed below the account name (usually starting with '0x').
Click the small copy icon next to your address and copy it to the clipboard in full. This address is usually the same under the same MetaMask account for all EVM compatible chains (such as Ethereum, BSC, Pulygon, Arbitrum, etc.), but the selected network must be correct when receiving.
(Optional) Confirm that the token has been added:
If you transfer native tokens from this chain, such as ETH, BNB, MATIC, etc., they will usually be automatically displayed.
If you are transferring some token (such as USDT, USDC, or other project tokens), make sure that the token has been added to the asset list under your MetaMask network. If not, you need to click 'Import tokens' and paste the token' contract address on that network to add it. Otherwise, even if the currency is in your account, you may not see the balance in your wallet.
Log in to the Bybit account: Visit the Bybit official website or App and log in.
Enter the withdrawal page:
The usual path is: click "Assets" -> "Spot" or "Funding Account" in the upper right corner (depending on which account your currency is in, you may need to transfer to the spot account first).
Find the currency you want to transfer (such as USDT, ETH, etc.), and click the "Withdraw" button behind the currency.
Fill in cash withdrawal information:
Coin: Confirm is the currency you want to transfer.
Withdrawal address: Paste the wallet address you copied from MetaMask. Be sure to check carefully whether the address is exactly the same! It is best to check the first and the last ones.
! ! ! Select the withdrawal network/chain type (Network/Chain Type): This is the most critical step!
Click the drop-down menu to select the exact same network as you selected in MetaMask.
For example: If you select 'BNB Smart Chain (BSC)' in MetaMask and have copied the address, then the 'BSC (BEP20)' network must be selected here in Bybit.
If you choose 'Ethereum Mainnet (ETH)' in MetaMask, then you must select 'ETH (ERC20)' network in Bybit.
Choose the wrong network and your assets will likely be lost forever! Bybit usually displays the estimated handling fee and arrival time of different networks, and re-confirm that you choose the right one.
Quantity: Enter the amount of cryptocurrency you want to transfer. Note that Bybit will charge a certain withdrawal fee to ensure that your withdrawal amount is greater than the minimum withdrawal amount, and considering that the actual amount of receipt is what you expect after the handling fee.
Submit a cash withdrawal request:
Check all information carefully: currency, address, network, quantity.
Click Submit or similar button.
Security Verification: Bybit will require you to perform security verification, usually including:
Login password
Google Authenticator code
Email verification code
(Probably) Mobile SMS Verification Code
Complete all verification steps as required.
Bybit Processing: Bybit will review and process your withdrawal request. You can view the status in Bybit's withdrawal record (usually it will show that processing is in progress, completed or failed).
Blockchain confirmation: Once Bybit issues a transaction, it needs to obtain sufficient confirmation count on the corresponding blockchain network. The confirmation time depends on the congestion of the selected network and the Gas fee set by the transaction (this part is handled by Bybit).
The ERC20 network can take several minutes to dozens of minutes or even longer.
Networks like BSC (BEP20), Pulygon, etc. are usually faster and can be completed in minutes.
You can find the TxID (transaction hash) in the cash withdrawal record of Bybit, and then go to the corresponding blockchain browser (such as Etherscan.io, BscScan.com, Pulygonscan.com) to check the transaction status.
MetaMask arrival: When the transaction is confirmed sufficiently on the blockchain, the funds will appear in the corresponding token balance of the corresponding network of your MetaMask wallet. Refresh your MetaMask wallet to see the balance changes.
Network matching is the key among the keys! Repeatedly confirm that the Bybit withdrawal network and the MetaMask receiving network are exactly the same.
Address accuracy: Be sure to copy and paste the address completely and check it. Blockchain transfers are irreversible.
Small amount test: If it is the first operation or transfer of large amounts of funds, it is strongly recommended to conduct a small amount (just meet the minimum withdrawal amount) test transfer first, and then transfer large amounts of funds after confirming that it is correct.
Processing Fee: Bybit will charge a withdrawal fee, which will be deducted from the amount you withdraw.
Memo/Tag: Most transfers to MetaMask (EVM compatible address) do not require Memo or Tag. However, if you transfer money to certain specific centralized exchange addresses or some non-EVM chain wallets, you may need Memo/Tag, so be sure to pay attention to the distinction. Going to your own MetaMask address is generally not required.
Waiting for patience: Blockchain confirmation takes time, especially when the network is congested.
