How to Sync Exodus Mobile Wallet to Desktop

1. Install Exodus Desktop

Visit the Exodus website for desktop download link
https://support.exodus.com/article/1582-exodus-wallet-download

2. Create or Restore a Wallet

  • Create New Wallet: Select "Create New Wallet" and set a 12-word secret recovery phrase. Securely store this phrase as it's the only way to restore your wallet.
  • Restore Existing Wallet: If you have an existing exodus wallet, select "Restore Wallet" and enter your 12-word secret recovery phrase.

3. Set a Password

Create a password to protect your Exodus desktop wallet from unauthorized access. This password is separate from the 12-word recovery phrase.

4. Record the Recovery Code

Both recovery phrase and password are separate keys for your wallet. Record both of these in a secure and independent way to ensure recovery.

5. Sync Mobile Wallet

  • Open Exodus mobile wallet and tap on the "Settings" icon in the bottom right corner.
  • Select "Pairs" and then tap on "Pair New Mobile Device."
  • On your desktop, click on the "Mobile" tab on the left side of the screen.
  • Scan the QR code displayed on your mobile device.
  • Enter the 6-digit verification code from your mobile wallet.

6. Verification

The Exodus app will now verify the connection between the mobile and desktop wallets. Once verified, you can now manage your cryptocurrency from both devices.

Tips

  • Keep both the recovery phrase and password secure and private.
  • Store the recovery phrase in multiple locations, such as a password manager, physical backup, or safety deposit box.
  • Enable 2FA on both your desktop and mobile devices for added security.
  • Regularly check for and install updates to Exodus for enhanced security and functionality.
