How to stake TIA on Keplr Wallet mobile? (Staking Tutorial)
To stake TIA with Keplr: download the official app, import your wallet, add Celestia mainnet (chain ID: *celestia*, RPC: *https://rpc.celestia.publicnode.com*), transfer native TIA, then delegate to a validator—rewards compound automatically.

Setting Up Keplr Wallet for TIA Staking
1. Download the official Keplr Wallet mobile application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Ensure the app is verified by Keplr Labs and displays the correct developer signature.
2. Launch the app and create a new wallet or import an existing one using your 24-word mnemonic phrase. Never share this phrase with anyone or store it in unencrypted digital formats.
3. After wallet initialization, navigate to the “Networks” section and enable support for the Celestia blockchain. This requires adding the Celestia mainnet configuration manually if not preloaded—verify chain ID as celestia and RPC endpoint as https://rpc.celestia.publicnode.com.
4. Confirm that your wallet displays a TIA balance. If you hold TIA on another chain or exchange, transfer it to your Keplr-managed Celestia address using the native TIA token standard (IBC-enabled, no ERC-20 or BEP-20 variants).
Connecting to the Celestia Network
1. Open the Keplr mobile app and tap the network selector icon located at the top-left corner of the home screen.
2. Search for “Celestia” and select the official mainnet entry. The app will automatically populate the correct chain ID, RPC URL, and coin denomination (TIA).
3. Tap “Connect” to establish a secure session with the Celestia network. A confirmation banner will appear indicating successful connection status.
4. Verify that the block height displayed under the network status is incrementing in real time. This confirms active synchronization with Celestia’s consensus layer.
Staking TIA Through the Keplr Interface
1. From the wallet home screen, locate and tap the “Stake” button next to your TIA balance. This opens the staking dashboard specific to Celestia.
2. Review the list of active validators. Sort by “APR”, “Uptime”, or “Self-Delegation” to identify options aligned with your risk and return preferences.
3. Select a validator and enter the exact amount of TIA you wish to delegate. Minimum delegation is 1 TIA; fractional amounts are supported down to six decimal places.
4. Confirm transaction details including commission rate, bonded tokens, and estimated annual yield. Keplr displays the validator’s current commission percentage and self-bond ratio before submission.
5. Sign the delegation transaction using your wallet password or biometric authentication. A success notification appears once the transaction is included in a Celestia block.
Managing Active Delegations
1. Access the “Staking” tab to view all active delegations, pending rewards, and unbonding entries. Each delegation shows validator name, bonded amount, and current reward accumulation.
2. To redelegate, select an existing delegation and choose “Redelegate”. Input the target validator address and confirm the action. Note that redelegation initiates a 21-day cooldown period before full transfer completes.
3. To withdraw accumulated rewards, tap “Claim Rewards” next to any validator. Rewards are credited instantly in TIA and added to your spendable balance.
4. For full unstaking, select “Undelegate” and specify the amount. Tokens enter a mandatory 21-day unbonding period before becoming available for transfer or reuse.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I stake TIA using Keplr on iOS if my wallet was created on Android?A: Yes. Keplr supports cross-platform recovery via the same 24-word mnemonic phrase. Ensure the phrase is entered precisely, including correct word order and language (English BIP-39).
Q: Why does my TIA balance show zero after connecting to Celestia network?A: This typically occurs when the wallet address has not received TIA on the Celestia mainnet. Transfers from centralized exchanges or other chains must be completed via IBC or native Celestia deposit methods—not ERC-20 bridges.
Q: Is there a slashing risk when staking TIA through Keplr?A: Yes. Validators may be slashed for double-signing or prolonged downtime. Keplr displays each validator’s historical slashing record and uptime statistics—review these before delegating.
Q: Do I need to manually claim rewards every epoch?A: No. Rewards compound automatically on-chain. However, claiming them transfers accrued tokens into your liquid balance, enabling further staking or transfer.
