How to Send ETH to MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to store, send, and receive Ethereum (ETH) and other ERC-20 tokens. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to send ETH to your MetaMask wallet:
Step 1: Get the recipient's address
- Open your MetaMask wallet and click on the "Receive" tab.
- Copy the displayed wallet address or click on the "Copy" button next to it.
- Share this address with the sender.
Step 2: Choose a sending method
Option 1: From another crypto wallet
- Log in to your other cryptocurrency wallet that contains ETH.
- Navigate to the "Send" or "Withdraw" section.
- Paste the MetaMask wallet address as the recipient's address.
Option 2: From an exchange
- Log in to your cryptocurrency exchange account.
- Go to the "Withdrawals" page and select ETH.
- Enter the MetaMask wallet address as the withdrawal address.
Step 3: Enter the amount and confirm
- Enter the amount of ETH you want to transfer in the designated field.
- Double-check the recipient's address and the amount before proceeding.
- Confirm the transaction to initiate the transfer.
Step 4: Pay the gas fee
- MetaMask will prompt you to pay a gas fee.
- The gas fee is required for miners to process your transaction on the Ethereum network.
- You can choose a higher gas fee for faster confirmation or a lower fee for longer confirmation times.
Step 5: Approve the transaction
- Click on the "Approve" button in the MetaMask confirmation popup.
- MetaMask will require you to enter your password to confirm the transaction.
Step 6: Wait for confirmation
- The ETH transfer will take a few minutes to complete, depending on the blockchain network congestion.
- You can track the transaction status in the "Activity" or "History" tab of your MetaMask wallet.
Once the transaction is confirmed, the ETH will be deposited into your MetaMask wallet, and you can use it for various crypto-related activities.
