how to clear queued transactions in metamask

If a transaction enters a queued state due to network congestion or insufficient gas fees, you can check its status in MetaMask's "Activity" tab.

  1. Understand Queued Transactions: When a transaction is submitted to the Ethereum network, it may enter a queued state due to high network traffic or insufficient gas fees. This means that the transaction is waiting to be processed and confirmed by miners.
  2. Check Transaction Status: To check the status of queued transactions, open your MetaMask wallet and go to the "Activity" tab. Look for transactions with the "Queued" status.
  3. Increase Gas Fees: Sometimes, increasing the gas fees attached to a queued transaction can help it get processed faster. However, be aware that this may result in higher transaction costs. To adjust gas fees, click on the "Speed Up" button in the "Activity" tab for the queued transaction.
  4. Contact Support: If increasing gas fees does not resolve the issue, you can contact the MetaMask support team for assistance. Provide details about the queued transaction, including the transaction hash and any relevant screenshots.
  5. Cancel Transaction (Optional): In some cases, you may want to cancel a queued transaction. However, this is only possible if the transaction has not been confirmed by miners. To cancel a queued transaction, click on the "Cancel" button in the "Activity" tab for the transaction. Keep in mind that canceling a transaction may incur a gas fee.
  6. Retry Transaction: If the queued transaction has been canceled or does not process after a reasonable amount of time, you can try resubmitting the transaction. However, note that the transaction details, such as the recipient address and amount, must remain the same as the original transaction.
