1. Create a MetaMask Account
- Download the MetaMask extension or mobile app.
- Create a new account by following the on-screen instructions.
- Write down your secret recovery phrase and keep it safe.
2. Add the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Network
- Click on the Network dropdown menu in MetaMask.
- Select Add Network.
Enter the following details:
- Network Name: BSC Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
- ChainID: 56
- Symbol: BNB
- Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com/
3. Purchase ETH from an Exchange
- Open an account with a cryptocurrency exchange that supports ETH purchases.
- Verify your identity by providing personal information.
- Fund your exchange account using a bank transfer, credit card, or other supported methods.
- Place an order to buy ETH.
4. Transfer ETH to MetaMask
- Copy your MetaMask wallet address.
- In the cryptocurrency exchange, navigate to the ETH withdrawal page.
- Paste your MetaMask wallet address into the recipient address field.
- Specify the amount of ETH you want to transfer.
- Initiate the withdrawal.
5. Approve Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Bridge
- Once the ETH is received in your MetaMask wallet, you need to approve the BSC bridge.
- Click on the Cross-Chain tab in MetaMask.
- Select the Add a Bridge option.
- Select the Multichain (Anyswap) bridge.
- Approve the bridge by signing a transaction.
6. Bridge ETH to BSC
- Open the Multichain website (https://anyswap.exchange) in MetaMask.
- Select ETH (ERC-20) as the source chain.
- Select ETH (BEP-20) as the target chain.
- Enter the amount of ETH you want to bridge.
- Click Swap, review the transaction details, and confirm.
7. Add ETH to MetaMask
- Once the ETH is bridged to the BSC, it will appear in your MetaMask wallet under the BSC Mainnet network.
Congratulations! You have now successfully purchased ETH on MetaMask. You can now use ETH to make transactions, interact with decentralized applications (dApps), or hold it as a store of value.
