How to use Phantom wallet to interact with Tensor for NFT trading?
To connect Phantom Wallet to Tensor, visit tensor.trade, click the wallet icon, select Phantom, and confirm—granting only read access to your Solana address and balance.

Connecting Phantom Wallet to Tensor
1. Open the official Tensor website (tensor.trade) using Chrome, Brave, or Edge on desktop—or launch the Tensor iOS/Android app.
2. Click the wallet icon in the top-right corner and select “Phantom” from the list of available wallets.
3. Confirm the connection request in your Phantom extension or mobile app; this does not grant spending permissions—only read access to your Solana address and balance.
4. Once connected, your Solana wallet address appears in the header, and your NFTs listed on Solana are automatically fetched and displayed under the “My Collections” or “Portfolio” tab.
5. Ensure your Phantom wallet is set to the Solana mainnet network before proceeding; switching chains mid-session may interrupt asset visibility or listing functions.
Listing NFTs for Sale on Tensor
1. Navigate to the NFT you wish to list—either via your portfolio or by searching its collection name on Tensor’s marketplace interface.
2. Click the three-dot menu next to the NFT thumbnail and select “List for Sale”.
3. Choose between fixed-price sale or auction mode; enter the desired price in SOL or USDC, and set duration if opting for an auction.
4. Review the transaction details including marketplace fee (0.5% on Tensor), royalty distribution, and blockchain confirmation cost—typically under $0.00025 on Solana.
5. Sign the approval transaction in Phantom; a second signature may be required if the NFT uses a token program requiring transfer authority delegation.
Bidding and Buying NFTs via Phantom
1. Browse active listings on Tensor and click on any NFT to view full metadata, ownership history, and floor price analytics.
2. For fixed-price items, click “Buy Now”; for auctions, click “Place Bid” and input your bid amount in SOL.
3. Phantom will prompt you to confirm the transaction; verify that the recipient address matches Tensor’s verified program ID (rbn4z9jy...@solana-mainnet).
4. After signing, the transaction propagates through Solana validators; successful purchases reflect in your Phantom “Collectibles” tab within seconds.
5. If purchasing with USDC, Phantom auto-swaps SOL to USDC using its integrated DEX aggregator—slippage is capped at 1% unless manually adjusted.
Managing Offers and Counteroffers
1. Go to the “Offers” section in Tensor to see incoming bids on your listed NFTs or outgoing offers you’ve placed on others’ assets.
2. To accept a bid, locate the offer row and click “Accept”; Phantom opens with a pre-filled instruction to transfer the NFT to the bidder’s wallet.
3. To make a counteroffer on someone else’s NFT, click “Make Counteroffer”, specify new terms, and sign via Phantom to submit the on-chain intent.
4. All offer-related actions generate priority fee-optimized transactions; Phantom defaults to “Medium” compute budget unless manually increased during gas estimation.
5. Rejected offers disappear from the interface after chain finality; accepted offers trigger immediate settlement without requiring further wallet interaction beyond initial signature.
Troubleshooting Common Tensor–Phantom Issues
1. NFTs not appearing after connection? Clear Phantom’s cache via Settings → Advanced → Reset Account; then re-connect Tensor and allow full asset indexing.
2. Transaction stuck in “Processing”? Check Solana Explorer using the TXID shown in Phantom; if unconfirmed after 60 seconds, cancel via Phantom’s pending transaction queue and resubmit with higher priority fee.
3. “Invalid program owner” error when listing? This indicates the NFT uses a non-standard mint authority or custom freeze delegate; verify compatibility using Tensor’s NFT validation tool before attempting to list.
4. USDC swap fails during purchase? Ensure Phantom holds sufficient SOL for both swap execution and post-swap transfer fees; minimum recommended SOL balance is 0.02 SOL.
