How does the Phantom wallet interact with exchanges?
Phantom connects to exchanges via the Phantom Extension.
- Phantom Extension adds support for Solana and Ethereum-based tokens to the browser.
- When a user wants to interact with an exchange, they can select the "Connect to Exchange" option in the Phantom Extension.
- The extension will then scan for compatible exchanges and allow the user to select the one they want to connect to, e.g., OKX.
Once connected, Phantom can be used to interact with the exchange's API.
- This allows the user to view their account balances, place orders, and make withdrawals.
- For example, a user could connect Phantom to OKX to check their balance of SOL or place an order to trade ETH.
Phantom also supports cross-exchange swaps.
- This allows users to swap tokens between different exchanges directly from Phantom.
- For example, a user could swap SOL from Binance to OKX directly from Phantom without having to go through the exchange's website.
Phantom is a convenient and easy-to-use interface for interacting with cryptocurrency exchanges
- It allows users to manage multiple exchange accounts, make cross-exchange swaps, and interact with smart contracts all from a single interface.
Additional points:
- Phantom supports a wide range of exchanges, including OKX, FTX, Binance, Huobi, and many others.
- Phantom also supports hardware wallets, such as Ledger and Trezor, for secure storage of private keys.
- Phantom has a strong community of developers and users, and it is constantly being updated with new features and improvements.
