Step 1: Remove the Exodus App from Your Device

Go to your device's settings.
Locate the Exodus app.
Select "Uninstall" or "Delete."

Step 2: Back Up Your Private Keys (Optional)

If you wish to restore access to Exodus in the future, note down your 12-word recovery phrase for each wallet. Store it securely.
You can also export a PDF version of your private keys by opening the Exodus app, clicking the gear icon, and selecting "Export Private Keys."

Step 3: Close All Exodus-Related Processes

Open your device's task manager.
Look for running processes related to Exodus or ExodusDaemon.
End these processes.

Step 4: Delete Exodus-Related Folders and Files

Navigate to the following folders on your device:
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Exodus\
- macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Exodus/
- Linux: ~/.config/Exodus/
Delete all files and folders within these directories.

Step 5: Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Open your web browser.
Go to "Settings" or "Preferences."
Locate the section for clearing browsing data.
Delete cookies and cached data.

Step 6: Reinstall Your Operating System (Optional)

Caution: This step is irreversible and will erase all data from your device. It should only be considered if other methods fail to remove Exodus permanently.

Additional Notes:

Do not use Exodus community forums to request private key recovery. Legitimate Exodus staff will never ask for your private keys.
If you lose access to your recovery phrase, you will permanently lose access to your Exodus wallet and its contents. Store your phrase securely in multiple locations.
