- Insufficient Balance: Check if you have enough funds in your wallet to cover the swap fees and the amount you want to swap. MetaMask displays its balance in Ether (ETH), so convert your other tokens to ETH if needed.
- Low Gas Fees: Swapping on MetaMask involves paying transaction fees (gas fees). If gas fees are too low, your swap may get stuck in the transaction queue. Try increasing the gas fees in MetaMask's settings.
- Insufficient Liquidity: Some tokens may have low liquidity, especially for small swap amounts. This can result in "price slippage"—where the swap price differs significantly from the estimated price due to low liquidity.
- Check Network Settings: Confirm that MetaMask is connected to the correct blockchain network (e.g., Ethereum Mainnet or Polygon). Different networks have separate token balances and liquidity.
