How to manage your contacts in Trust Wallet? How to save frequently used addresses?
Trust Wallet lets you manually add or QR-scan contacts, label and organize them by network/emoji, and auto-fill addresses—though contacts aren’t synced, backed up, or exportable.

Adding New Contacts Manually
1. Open Trust Wallet and navigate to the Wallet tab at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap the Send button located in the top-right corner.
3. Paste or type the recipient’s wallet address into the address field.
4. Before confirming the transaction, tap the Add to Contacts option just below the address input box.
5. Enter a custom name for the contact—such as “Binance Deposit” or “My Cold Wallet”—and confirm with the checkmark icon.
Importing Contacts via QR Code
1. Go to the Receive section of any supported token in your wallet.
2. Tap the Share Address button to generate a QR code for your own address.
3. Ask the other party to scan that QR code using their Trust Wallet’s camera interface.
4. When they scan it, their app will display your address and prompt them to save it with a label.
5. They may choose to store it under categories like “Exchange”, “Friend”, or “Contract” depending on usage context.
Organizing Saved Addresses with Labels
1. From the main wallet view, swipe left on any saved contact to reveal Edit and Delete options.
2. Tapping Edit allows modification of the contact name and selection of an emoji icon for visual identification.
3. Contacts are automatically grouped by network—Ethereum addresses appear separately from Solana or BSC entries.
4. Long-pressing a contact opens a quick-action menu where users can copy the address, send funds, or view transaction history.
5. No built-in folder system exists, but naming conventions such as “CEX-Binance-ETH”, “NFT-Marketplace-Opensea”, or “DAO-Governance-Uniswap” help maintain clarity.
Using Address Book for Faster Transactions
1. While initiating a transfer, tap the address field and then select the Contacts icon (person silhouette) beside the QR scanner.
2. A searchable list appears showing all saved addresses across all networks you hold tokens on.
3. Typing part of a contact name filters results instantly—even partial matches like “bin” will surface “Binance Withdrawal”.
4. Selecting a contact auto-fills both the address and the correct network if multiple versions exist (e.g., ERC-20 vs BEP-20).
5. This avoids manual copy-paste errors and reduces risk of sending assets to incompatible chains.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I export my entire contact list from Trust Wallet?A: No. Trust Wallet does not support exporting contacts. All saved addresses reside locally on the device and are not synced to cloud services or backup phrases.
Q: What happens to my contacts if I reinstall Trust Wallet?A: Contacts are lost unless manually backed up beforehand. Reinstalling wipes local storage; only wallet keys restored via seed phrase retain asset access—not contact metadata.
Q: Do contacts sync across iOS and Android devices?A: No synchronization occurs between platforms. Each installation maintains its own independent address book, even when using identical recovery phrases.
Q: Is there a limit to how many contacts I can save?A: There is no enforced upper bound. Performance remains stable with hundreds of entries, though extremely large lists may slow down search responsiveness slightly during typing.
