How to Import Core to MetaMask

MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies. It also supports hardware wallets, such as the Ledger Nano S and Trezor Model T.

Core is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that uses the MimbleWimble protocol. It is not currently supported by MetaMask. However, there is a workaround that allows users to import Core to MetaMask.

Requirements:
  • MetaMask wallet
  • Core wallet
  • A computer with an internet connection
Instructions:
  1. Download the MetaMask extension.
  2. Create a MetaMask account.
  3. Open the MetaMask extension.
  4. Click on the "Import Tokens" button.
  5. Select the "Custom Token" option.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • Token Contract Address: 0xd6801a1dff193a53c3c3535a7be0d805bdea85bc
    • Token Symbol: CORE
    • Token Decimals: 8
  7. Click on the "Add Custom Token" button.
  8. Open the Core wallet.
  9. Create a new Core address.
  10. Send Core to the new address.
  11. Open MetaMask.
  12. Click on the "My Wallets" tab.
  13. Select the MetaMask account you imported the Core token to.
  14. Click on the "Send" button.
  15. Enter the Core address you sent the Core to.
  16. Enter the amount of Core you want to send.
  17. Click on the "Send" button.

Your Core will now be sent to the MetaMask account.
