How to find hidden tokens in Phantom? (Manage token list)
Phantom钱包新增长按隐藏余额功能,强化隐私保护;用户还可通过“管理代币”查看隐藏资产或手动导入未显示的SPL/ERC-20代币。(155字)

Finding Hidden Tokens in Phantom Wallet
1. Phantom does not automatically display every token held in a wallet unless explicitly added to the visible asset list. Tokens may remain hidden due to network-specific filtering, unsupported token standards, or manual hiding by the user.
2. The wallet interface only shows tokens that are either pre-indexed by Phantom’s internal token registry or manually imported via contract address. If a token is not on that registry — especially newly deployed SPL tokens on Solana or custom ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum — it will not appear without manual intervention.
3. Users sometimes hide tokens intentionally using the “Hide” toggle next to an asset. This action removes the token from the main view but does not delete its balance or associated data from the wallet’s local storage.
4. Phantom’s token discovery relies heavily on chain scanning and metadata fetching. If a token’s metadata (symbol, decimals, logo) fails to load due to RPC node latency or missing URI, the token may be skipped during rendering even if its balance is non-zero.
5. No automatic background sweep occurs for unregistered tokens across all supported chains. A user must initiate the search process each time they suspect a hidden or unlisted asset exists.
Accessing the Full Token Registry
1. Open Phantom wallet and navigate to the Assets tab.
2. Click the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the asset panel.
3. Select Manage tokens from the dropdown menu. This opens a dedicated overlay showing all currently visible tokens alongside toggles for visibility control.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the manage tokens screen and locate the Show hidden tokens switch. Activating it reveals tokens previously hidden by the user.
5. Below that section, find the Import token button. Clicking it allows entry of a contract address to force detection of an unlisted token.
Manual Token Import Process
1. Ensure you are connected to the correct network — Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, or Base — before importing, as contract addresses are chain-specific.
2. Obtain the exact token contract address from a trusted source such as Solscan, Etherscan, Polygonscan, or official project documentation.
3. In the import modal, paste the full contract address into the designated field. Phantom validates checksums and network alignment before proceeding.
4. After validation, the wallet fetches on-chain balance and attempts to retrieve token metadata. If metadata retrieval fails, Phantom displays a generic placeholder with the contract address as the symbol.
5. Confirm the import. The token appears immediately in the asset list if the balance is greater than zero; otherwise, it remains listed but shows 0.00 balance until funds arrive.
Chain-Specific Behavior Differences
1. On Solana, Phantom uses SPL token program accounts to detect balances. It scans associated token accounts linked to the wallet’s public key. Missing token accounts — often caused by incomplete initialization — result in zero visibility despite ownership.
2. For Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, Phantom queries the wallet’s ERC-20 balance via JSON-RPC calls. It does not scan all possible token contracts exhaustively due to gas and performance constraints.
3. Phantom does not support BEP-20 tokens natively. Attempting to import a BSC-based contract address while connected to Ethereum will trigger a network mismatch error.
4. Base chain tokens behave similarly to Ethereum imports but require accurate L2-specific RPC endpoints. Phantom uses default Base endpoints, which may lag behind newly deployed tokens.
5. Bitcoin integration in Phantom is limited to receiving and displaying BTC via wrapped representations (e.g., wBTC on Ethereum or tBTC on Solana). Native UTXO tracking is not implemented.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can Phantom detect tokens sent to my wallet before I installed the extension?A: Yes — provided the tokens reside in a balanceable account on a supported chain and the wallet has scanned the relevant blockchain state since connection. Historical balances are retrieved during initial sync.
Q: Why does a token show 0.00 after successful import?A: The wallet detected the contract but found no balance in the associated token account. This commonly occurs when the token was never transferred to the wallet address or was sent to an incorrect derivation path.
Q: Does importing a fake or scam token contract pose a risk to my private key?A: No — importing only reads public on-chain data. Phantom never transmits your private key, seed phrase, or signing capability during this process.
Q: Can I remove a manually imported token from the list permanently?A: Yes — go to Manage tokens, find the imported entry, and click the trash icon. This deletes the token from the UI but does not affect on-chain holdings or balances.
