How to Import a Wallet into Exodus

Exodus is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that supports a wide range of digital assets. If you've already created a wallet with another platform and want to import it into Exodus, follow these steps:

1. Open the Exodus Wallet

Launch the Exodus desktop or mobile app.

2. Click the "Settings" Icon

  • Desktop: Click the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  • Mobile: Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom left corner.

3. Select "Wallets"

From the left sidebar menu, select "Wallets."

4. Click "Import Wallet"

This button is located at the bottom of the "Wallets" screen.

5. Select Import Type

Choose the type of wallet you want to import:

  • Private Key: Enter the private key for the wallet you want to import.
  • Mnemonic Phrase: Enter the mnemonic phrase (also known as a recovery phrase or seed phrase) for the wallet you want to import.
  • Electrum Seed: If you're importing a wallet from the Electrum software, enter the Electrum seed for the wallet you want to import.

6. Enter the Import Details

Enter the necessary information in the provided fields, such as the private key, mnemonic phrase, or Electrum seed.

7. Click "Import"

After entering the import details, click the "Import" button to finalize the import process.

8. Verify Import

Exodus will verify that the imported wallet is valid. Once the verification is complete, the wallet will be added to Exodus.

Additional Notes:

  • If you're importing a wallet with a large number of transactions, it may take some time for the wallet to fully sync with the blockchain.
  • Always triple-check the import details to ensure that you're importing the correct wallet. Importing the wrong wallet can result in loss of funds.
  • Keep your private keys and mnemonic phrases secure. Never share them with anyone.
