How to delete a wallet from Trust Wallet? (Manage Wallets)
To delete a wallet in Trust Wallet: go to Settings → Manage Wallets, swipe left on the wallet, tap Delete, and confirm—assets must be moved first, and keys remain intact.

Delete a Wallet from Trust Wallet
1. Open the Trust Wallet application on your mobile device and ensure you are logged in with your primary wallet or recovery phrase.
2. Tap the profile icon located in the top-right corner of the main screen to access the settings menu.
3. Scroll down and select Manage Wallets from the list of options.
4. Locate the wallet you wish to remove from the displayed list of connected wallets.
5. Swipe left on the target wallet entry — a red Delete button will appear.
6. Tap Delete and confirm the action when prompted by the system dialog.
7. The wallet is immediately removed from the interface; no private keys or seed phrases are deleted from your device unless manually erased elsewhere.
Important Considerations Before Deletion
1. Deleting a wallet only removes its visibility and access within the Trust Wallet UI — it does not erase the associated private key or recovery phrase stored locally or externally.
2. If the wallet holds assets, ensure all tokens and coins have been transferred out prior to deletion; otherwise, those funds become inaccessible through this interface.
3. Trust Wallet does not store private keys on remote servers, so deletion has no effect on blockchain records or on-chain balances.
4. Re-adding the same wallet later requires re-importing using the original 12-word recovery phrase or private key.
5. Multiple wallets sharing the same seed phrase cannot be individually deleted without affecting others unless they were added as separate standalone imports.
Recovery After Accidental Removal
1. There is no built-in undo function for wallet deletion inside Trust Wallet.
2. If the wallet was derived from your main recovery phrase, it can be restored by adding a new wallet and selecting the option to Add Wallet > Import Wallet > Recover with Phrase.
3. For wallets imported via private key only, you must retain that key separately — Trust Wallet does not back up or recover private keys after deletion.
4. Third-party backup tools or screenshots of QR codes do not assist in recovery unless the original secret material remains accessible.
5. No support team can restore a deleted wallet — Trust Wallet operates non-custodially, meaning users hold sole responsibility for secret data.
Managing Multiple Wallets Efficiently
1. Use descriptive names when creating wallets to distinguish between testnet, mainnet, or project-specific addresses.
2. Avoid importing the same seed phrase multiple times under different names — this creates redundant entries and increases confusion during management.
3. Disable unused token networks (e.g., BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum) in wallet settings to reduce clutter and improve loading speed.
4. Regularly audit active wallets to identify dormant or obsolete ones before they accumulate dust tokens or outdated contract interactions.
5. Export wallet information including address, network, and label before deletion if documentation is required for accounting or compliance purposes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does deleting a wallet from Trust Wallet also delete my NFTs?A: No. NFTs exist on-chain and remain associated with the wallet address. However, after deletion, you lose quick access unless the wallet is re-imported.
Q: Can I delete the default wallet created during initial setup?A: No. The primary wallet tied to your master recovery phrase cannot be deleted — only additional wallets added afterward may be removed.
Q: Will deleting a wallet stop transaction notifications for that address?A: Yes. Once removed, Trust Wallet ceases monitoring that address for incoming transfers, swaps, or smart contract events.
Q: Is there a way to hide a wallet instead of deleting it?A: Not natively. Trust Wallet does not offer a hide or archive feature — deletion is the only method to remove visibility of an added wallet.
