How to Delete Coinbase Wallet

Step 1: Backup Your Wallet

Before deleting your Coinbase wallet, it's crucial to back up your crypto assets. This will ensure you can recover your funds in case of any unforeseen circumstances. To back up your wallet:

Log in to your Coinbase account.
Click on the "Settings" tab (gear icon).
Under the "Security" section, click on "Backup & Recovery."
Follow the instructions to generate a backup file.

Step 2: Transfer Your Crypto

Once your wallet is backed up, transfer all your crypto assets to a different wallet. You can do this by:

Selecting the "Withdraw" option for each cryptocurrency.
Entering the address of your new wallet.
Confirming the amount to withdraw and the transaction fee.

Step 3: Delete Your Wallet

After transferring your assets, you can now delete your Coinbase wallet:

Navigate to the "Settings" tab.
Click on the "Close Account" button.
Enter your password and confirm your decision.

Note: Deleting your Coinbase wallet does not delete your Coinbase account. You can still create a new wallet or use your existing account to buy, sell, or trade cryptocurrencies.
