How to Connect Coinbase and Coinbase Wallet
1. Open the Coinbase App or Website- If you haven't already, sign in to your Coinbase account on either the mobile app or the website.
- On the bottom navigation bar, tap the "Wallet" icon to access your crypto assets.
- In the upper right corner, tap the "Connect Coinbase Wallet" button.
- If you haven't already, download the Coinbase Wallet app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the Coinbase Wallet app and follow the instructions to create a new wallet. You will need to set a secure password and store your recovery phrase safely.
- Once you have created your Coinbase Wallet, return to the Coinbase app or website.
- On the Connect Coinbase Wallet screen, you will see a QR code. Use the camera in the Coinbase Wallet app to scan the code.
- A confirmation message will appear on your Coinbase Wallet. Tap "Connect" to complete the link between your accounts.
- Once connected, you can exchange assets between your Coinbase account and your Coinbase Wallet. Tap the "Exchange" tab to view the available cryptocurrencies.
- You can connect multiple Coinbase Wallets to your Coinbase account.
- The assets you hold in your Coinbase Wallet are not stored on Coinbase's servers but rather on the blockchain.
- It is important to keep your recovery phrase safe. If you lose it, you will not be able to access your Coinbase Wallet.
