How to check transaction history in Exodus wallet? (Activity Log)

Exodus’ Activity Log offers a real-time, filterable, and exportable chronological feed of on-chain actions—supporting multi-chain transactions, status indicators, and hash-based search.

Apr 21, 2026 at 02:59 pm

Accessing the Activity Log Interface

1. Launch the Exodus desktop or mobile application using your device’s installed version.

2. Authenticate with your password, biometric prompt, or hardware wallet connection as required.

3. Navigate to the left-hand sidebar on desktop or the bottom navigation bar on mobile and select the Activity tab.

4. The interface displays a chronological feed of all on-chain actions tied to your wallet addresses.

5. Each entry includes timestamp, asset symbol, direction (sent/received), amount, network fee, and transaction status.

Filtering and Sorting Transaction Records

1. Click the filter icon located at the top-right corner of the Activity view to open filtering options.

2. Choose specific blockchain networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, or Arbitrum to isolate activity by chain.

3. Toggle between transaction types: swaps, sends, receives, staking rewards, NFT transfers, or DeFi interactions.

4. Use the date range selector to narrow results to a custom period—no default limit restricts historical visibility.

5. Sort entries by newest first or oldest first using the sort dropdown without reloading the page.

Understanding Transaction Status Indicators

1. A green checkmark indicates confirmed settlement on the target blockchain with irreversible finality.

2. A yellow clock icon signals pending confirmation; the number beside it reflects current block confirmations.

3. A red exclamation mark denotes failure—common causes include insufficient gas, invalid recipient address, or mempool rejection.

4. Hovering over status icons on desktop or long-pressing on mobile reveals contextual details including block height and hash.

5. Failed transactions retain full metadata, enabling immediate retry or manual debugging via exported raw data.

Exporting and Verifying On-Chain Data

1. Select any transaction row to expand its full details panel containing input/output addresses, script types, and UTXO or nonce information.

2. Click the external link icon next to the transaction hash to open the corresponding explorer page in a new browser tab.

3. Use the “Export CSV” button to generate a local file listing date, asset, direction, amount, fee, hash, and network for accounting or audit use.

4. All exported records preserve original UTC timestamps and native denomination units without conversion rounding.

5. Exported files contain no personally identifiable information and omit private key references or recovery phrase traces.

Common Questions and Direct Answers

Q: Can I view transactions from imported tokens not natively supported in Exodus?A: Yes. Any token added manually via contract address appears in the Activity Log if its transfers occurred on a connected network.

Q: Why do some ETH-based transactions show zero value in the Activity Log?A: These are contract interactions—such as approvals or staking deposits—that move no ETH but emit events visible on-chain.

Q: Is there a way to search for a specific transaction hash without scrolling?A: Yes. Use the search bar at the top of the Activity tab and paste the full hash; results appear instantly with highlighting.

Q: Do hardware wallet-connected sessions display the same Activity Log as software wallets?A: Yes. The log reflects on-chain history associated with the public addresses, independent of signing method or device type.
