How to Add zkSync to MetaMask
Step 1: Network Configuration
- Open MetaMask and click on the "Ethereum Mainnet" network dropdown on the top right corner.
- Scroll down and click on "Add Network."
Fill in the following details:
- Network Name: zkSync Testnet (or zkSync Mainnet if you prefer the mainnet)
- New RPC URL: https://rpc-test.zksync.io (or https://rpc.zksync.io for mainnet)
- Chain ID: 280 (or 1 for mainnet)
- Currency Symbol: ETH (leave empty for mainnet)
- Block Explorer URL: https://zkscan.io/testnet (or https://zkscan.io for mainnet)
- Click on "Save."
Step 2: Deposit Funds (Optional)
- If you want to use zkSync for transactions, you need to bridge funds from your Ethereum wallet.
- Go to the MetaMask bridge (https://wallet.zksync.io/bridge).
- Connect your MetaMask wallet and select the desired deposit amount.
- Confirm and pay the transaction fees to transfer funds to your zkSync account.
Step 3: Send Transactions
- To send transactions on zkSync, click on the "Send" button in MetaMask.
- Select the zkSync network you added earlier.
- Enter the recipient's address and the amount you want to send.
- Confirm and pay the transaction fees.
Additional Notes:
- zkSync is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that offers faster and cheaper transactions.
- The testnet is recommended for experimenting and testing, while the mainnet is for live transactions.
