How to Add zkSync Lite to MetaMask Manually
zkSync is a Layer 2 scaling solution that enables faster and cheaper transactions on the Ethereum network. zkSync Lite is a specific zkSync implementation that offers a simplified user experience for those seeking fast and affordable crypto transfers. By adding zkSync Lite to MetaMask, users can seamlessly access its benefits.
Step 1: Install MetaMask
Begin by installing the MetaMask wallet extension, available for various browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Brave. Once installed, create a new wallet or import an existing one. Ensure that you securely store your secret recovery phrase.
Step 2: Add zkSync Lite Network
Within MetaMask's "Networks" tab, click the "Add Network" button and manually configure the following settings:
- Network Name: zkSync Lite
- New RPC URL: https://zksync2-mainnet.zksync.io
- Chain ID: 280
- Currency Symbol: ETH
- Block Explorer URL: https://zkscan.io
Step 3: Import Token (Optional)
If you wish to interact with any specific tokens on zkSync Lite, you may need to import them into MetaMask. Click the "Import Tokens" button under the "Assets" tab and search for the desired token. Once found, select "Custom Token" and enter the token's contract address, which can be found on its respective blockchain explorer.
