how to add zeta chain to metamask
By adding the Zeta Chain network to MetaMask, users gain the ability to interact with cross-chain applications built on this decentralized Layer 1 blockchain.
Nov 06, 2024 at 10:07 pm
Zeta Chain is a decentralized Layer 1 public blockchain that enables cross-chain communication between different Layer 1 blockchains. This guide will show you how to add the Zeta Chain network to your MetaMask wallet.
Step 1: Install MetaMaskDownload and install MetaMask extension to your preferred browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
Step 2: Create a MetaMask AccountIf you haven't already created a MetaMask account, follow the on-screen prompts to create one.
Step 3: Add Zeta Chain Network- Click on the "Network" dropdown menu in the top right corner of your MetaMask interface.
- Select "Add Network" from the menu.
Enter the following details:
- Network Name: Zeta Chain
- New RPC URL: https://evm.zetachain.com
- Chain ID: 360
- Currency Symbol: ZETA
- Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.zetachain.com/
- Click "Save".
You should now see "Zeta Chain" listed in the Network dropdown menu.
Step 5: Get Test ZETA Tokens (Optional)To test the functionality of the Zeta Chain network, you can get test ZETA tokens from their faucet: https://faucet.zetachain.com/
Step 6: Transfer Test ZETA TokensOnce you have test ZETA tokens, you can transfer them to your MetaMask wallet by using the Zeta Explorer: https://explorer.zetachain.com/.
Step 7: Use Zeta Chain ApplicationsYou can now use your MetaMask wallet to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) built on the Zeta Chain network. Examples of dApps include:
- ZetaSwap: A cross-chain DEX
- ZetaBridge: A cross-chain bridge
- Zeta Chain is still in its early stages of development, and the network address may change in the future.
- Always confirm the network address before sending any funds.
- If you have any issues adding the Zeta Chain network to MetaMask, refer to their official documentation: https://docs.zetachain.com/
