How to add the StarkNet mainnet to MetaMask.

To connect MetaMask to StarkNet's Mainnet, users must configure the RPC URL, chain ID, block explorer, and other network settings within the MetaMask interface.

How to Add the StarkNet Mainnet to MetaMask

Step 1: Install MetaMask
  1. Visit the MetaMask website and download the extension for your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, etc.).
  2. Create a new MetaMask wallet or import an existing one.
  3. Ensure the wallet is on the Ethereum Mainnet.
Step 2: Add StarkNet Network
  1. Click on the network drop-down menu in the MetaMask window.
  2. Select "Add Network."
  3. In the "Network Name" field, enter: StarkNet Mainnet
  4. In the "New RPC URL" field, enter: https://alpha4.starknet.io
  5. In the "Chain ID" field, enter: 31337
  6. In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter: ETH
  7. In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter: https://voyager.online/starknet
  8. Click "Save."
Step 3: Import ETH to StarkNet
  1. Visit the Argent X bridge website.
  2. Connect your MetaMask wallet and confirm the Ethereum Mainnet connection.
  3. Enter the amount of ETH you want to transfer to StarkNet and select "Send Across."
  4. Confirm the transaction fees and click "Next."
  5. Wait for the transaction to complete.
Step 4: Configure MetaMask for StarkNet Interactions
  1. Visit the KyberSwap website.
  2. Connect your MetaMask wallet and confirm the StarkNet Mainnet connection.
  3. Enable token transfer notifications for StarkNet.
  4. Adjust other settings as desired (gas fees, slippage tolerance, etc.).
Additional Notes:
  • To view your StarkNet balances, click on the "Assets" tab in MetaMask and switch to the "StarkNet Mainnet" network.
  • To send or receive tokens on StarkNet, make sure to transact via decentralized exchanges (DEXs) that support StarkNet, such as KyberSwap or 1inch Network.
  • StarkNet uses a different address format from Ethereum. When sending tokens to StarkNet, ensure you use the correct StarkNet address.
