how to add solana network to metamask wallet
By adding the Solana network to MetaMask, users can seamlessly interact with Solana-based decentralized applications and manage their SOL tokens within the trusted and widely-used cryptocurrency wallet.

MetaMask is one of the most popular cryptocurrency wallets, supporting a wide range of blockchains including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Polygon. However, Solana is not natively supported by MetaMask. This guide will help you add the Solana network to your MetaMask wallet, allowing you to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) and manage your SOL tokens.
Prerequisites:- MetaMask wallet installed as a browser extension
- Solana network URL
- RPC URL
- Chain ID
- Currency symbol
- Block explorer URL
- Open your MetaMask wallet:
- Click on the MetaMask icon in your browser's toolbar.
- Enter your password to unlock your wallet.
- Click on the dropdown menu:
- Locate the dropdown menu next to the "Ethereum Mainnet" label in the top-right corner of the interface.
- Click on the downward arrow to expand the menu.
- Select "Custom RPC":
- Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on "Custom RPC."
- Enter Solana network details:
- In the "Network Name" field, enter "Solana Mainnet."
- In the "New RPC URL" field, enter the Solana network URL: https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com
- In the "Chain ID" field, enter 13.
- In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter SOL.
- In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter https://explorer.solana.com
- Click "Save":
- Once you have entered all the necessary information, click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the Custom RPC window.
- Confirm network connection:
- You will be prompted to confirm the addition of the Solana network to your MetaMask wallet. Click on the "Confirm" button.
- Switch to Solana network:
- Once the network has been added, you can switch to Solana network by clicking on the dropdown menu in the top-right corner and selecting "Solana Mainnet."
- Add SOL token (optional):
- If you want to see your SOL tokens in your MetaMask wallet, you need to add the SOL token contract address.
- Click on the "Add Token" button in the MetaMask interface.
- Paste the SOL token contract address (So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112) into the "Token Contract Address" field.
- Click on the "Add Custom Token" button.
