How to add Scroll network to MetaMask?
要将Scroll Mainnet添加到MetaMask,请依次填写:网络名称“Scroll Mainnet”、RPC URL“https://rpc.scroll.io”、链ID“534352”、代币符号“ETH”、区块浏览器“https://scrollscan.com”。
Jun 06, 2026 at 09:59 am
Network Configuration Steps
1. Open MetaMask extension in your browser and click the network selector located at the top of the interface.
2. Select “Custom RPC” from the dropdown menu to manually input Scroll’s network parameters.
3. Enter “Scroll Mainnet” as the Network Name.
4. Paste https://rpc.scroll.io into the New RPC URL field.
5. Input 534352 as the Chain ID — this is Scroll’s official mainnet identifier.
6. Set Currency Symbol to ETH and Block Explorer URL to https://scrollscan.com.
Wallet Connection Verification
1. After saving the custom network, ensure MetaMask displays “Scroll Mainnet” in the network dropdown.
2. Click the account icon and select “Copy Address” to confirm wallet readiness for Scroll interactions.
3. Visit https://scrollscan.com/address/YOUR_ADDRESS and verify that the address resolves without error on ScrollScan.
4. Initiate a test transaction using Scroll’s official bridge or a supported dApp to validate full RPC connectivity and signature capability.
5. Monitor the transaction hash on ScrollScan to confirm inclusion in a valid block with finality status.
Bridge Integration Process
1. Navigate to https://scroll.io/bridge while connected to Ethereum Mainnet in MetaMask.
2. Connect your wallet and select ETH or a supported token such as wBTC or USDC.
3. Enter the deposit amount and click “Deposit” — this triggers an L1 transaction requiring Ethereum gas.
4. Wait for the Layer 1 confirmation; then switch MetaMask to Scroll Mainnet to observe the credited balance.
5. Confirm successful bridging by checking the “Deposits” tab on ScrollScan under your address activity history.
Token Recognition & Asset Mapping
1. Scroll supports native asset bridging but does not auto-detect all ERC-20 tokens after deposit.
2. Manually add common Scroll-native tokens via “Import Tokens” in MetaMask using verified contract addresses from ScrollScan.
3. For wrapped assets like wBTC, use the canonical Scroll contract: 0x89c97e4b425b7648f54d9e40a828890700950f94.
4. Cross-check token decimals and symbol against ScrollScan’s token explorer before confirming any manual import.
5. Avoid third-party token lists — only use contract addresses published on https://scroll.io/ecosystem or verified by ScrollScan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does MetaMask show “Unknown Network” after adding Scroll RPC?A: This occurs when Chain ID 534352 does not match the configured value. Re-enter the exact Chain ID and reload MetaMask.
Q: Can I use the same MetaMask seed phrase for Scroll as for Ethereum?A: Yes. Scroll is EVM-compatible and derives accounts identically to Ethereum using the same BIP-39 standard.
Q: Is it safe to approve token allowances on Scroll dApps?A: Only approve allowances for audited protocols listed on https://scroll.io/ecosystem. Unverified contracts may drain funds irreversibly.
Q: Why does my bridged ETH take longer than 10 minutes to appear on Scroll?A: Finality depends on L1 block confirmations and Scroll’s batch submission schedule. Delays beyond 30 minutes indicate either L1 congestion or misconfigured RPC endpoints.
