Step 1: Install MetaMask Extension

1. Go to the MetaMask website: https://metamask.io/
2. Click on the "Download" button and select the extension for your browser.

Step 2: Set Up a New Wallet or Import an Existing One

Creating a new wallet:

2. Click on the "Add Network" button.

3. Enter the following details:

   • Network Name: NEAR Mainnet
   • New RPC URL: https://rpc.mainnet.near.org
   • Chain ID: 1313161554
   • Currency Symbol: NEAR
   • Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.near.org/
4. Click on the "Save" button.

Step 4: Select the NEAR Protocol Mainnet as Default

1. Click on the "Networks" tab in MetaMask.
2. Select the "NEAR Mainnet" network.

Step 5: Start Using the NEAR Protocol with MetaMask

You can now start using the NEAR Protocol with MetaMask. you can send and receive NEAR tokens, interact with NEAR-based dApps, and more.

Here are some additional tips:

• Make sure you keep your secret recovery phrase or private key safe. If you lose them, you will not be able to access your NEAR wallet.
• Use a strong password for your MetaMask account.
• Be aware of phishing scams. Do not click on links or enter your personal information on websites or emails that you do not trust.
