How to Add the Omni Layer Mainnet to MetaMask
Introduction
The Omni Layer is a protocol built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain that enables the creation and trading of tokens and other digital assets. MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that supports a variety of blockchain networks, including the Omni Layer.
Prerequisites
Before you can add the Omni Layer mainnet to MetaMask, you will need the following:
- A MetaMask wallet installed on your browser
- An Omni Layer wallet address
Instructions
Open MetaMask and click the "Networks" tab.
The Networks tab will display a list of the blockchain networks that are currently configured in MetaMask.
Click the "Add Network" button.
The New Network window will appear.
Enter the following information in the New Network window:
- Network Name: Omni Mainnet
- New RPC URL:
https://omni.xio.live - Chain ID: 1
- Currency Symbol: OMNI
- Block Explorer URL:
https://omniexplorer.info
Click the "Save" button.
The Omni Layer mainnet will be added to MetaMask.
Click the "Omni Mainnet" network in the Networks tab to switch to the Omni Layer network.
Your MetaMask wallet will now be connected to the Omni Layer network.
(Optional) Import your Omni Layer wallet address.
If you have an existing Omni Layer wallet address, you can import it into MetaMask by clicking the "Import Account" button. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to import your wallet address.
