How to Add OKX Network to MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular crypto wallet that supports various blockchain networks, including the OKX Chain (OKC). Adding OKC to MetaMask allows you to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) built on the OKC blockchain and manage your OKC-based crypto assets.
Step 1: Install MetaMask
If you don't already have MetaMask installed, download and install it as a browser extension or mobile app.
Step 2: Add OKX Chain
Desktop: Open MetaMask and click on the "Networks" tab. Click on the "Add Network" button and enter the following details:
- Network Name: OKX Chain Mainnet
- New RPC URL:
https://exchainrpc.okex.org - Chain ID: 66
- Symbol: OKT
- Block Explorer URL (optional):
https://www.oklink.com/en/okc
- Mobile App: Tap the "Menu" icon, select "Settings" > "Networks" > "Add Network". Enter the same details as above.
Step 3: Import Account (Optional)
If you have an existing OKX Chain wallet, you can import it into MetaMask for easy access.
- Desktop: Click on the "Import Account" button in MetaMask and select "Import with Seed Phrase". Enter your private key or seed phrase and follow the prompts.
- Mobile App: Tap on the "Create or Import Account" prompt and choose "Import Account". Select "Import Secret Recovery Phrase", enter your seed phrase, and set a password.
Additional Network Options
OKX Chain offers several test networks for developers and users to experiment with. You can add these networks to MetaMask using the same steps above, with slight modifications in the RPC URL:
- OKX Chain Testnet:
https://exchaintestrpc.okex.org - OKX Chain Development Network:
https://exchaindevrpc.okex.org
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues adding the OKX Network to MetaMask, try the following troubleshooting tips:
- Ensure your connection to the OKX Chain network is stable.
- Check if the RPC URL you entered is correct.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Update MetaMask to the latest version.
- If using a hardware wallet, ensure it is properly connected and configured.
