How to add Nano Mainnet (NANO) to MetaMask.
To interact with Nano on MetaMask, add the Nano Mainnet to your wallet, using the RPC URL, Network ID, and Symbol, and then you can send and receive Nano tokens.

How to Add Nano Mainnet (NANO) to MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular software cryptocurrency wallet used to interact with the Ethereum blockchain and other compatible blockchains. Nano is a cryptocurrency designed for fast and feeless transactions. To interact with Nano on MetaMask, you need to add the Nano Mainnet to your wallet.
Prerequisites
- MetaMask wallet installed and set up
- Nano Mainnet RPC URL: https://xrp.nodes.nimiq.com
- Nano Mainnet Network ID: 160
- Nano Mainnet Symbol: NANO
Steps
- Open MetaMask and select "Add Network":
- Click the "Ethereum Mainnet" dropdown in the top-right corner of MetaMask
- Select "Add Network" from the dropdown menu
- Enter Nano Mainnet Information:
- In the "Network Name" field, enter "Nano Mainnet"
- In the "New RPC URL" field, enter "https://xrp.nodes.nimiq.com"
- In the "Chain ID" field, enter "160"
- In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter "NANO"
- Leave the "Block Explorer URL" field empty
- Save Network:
- Click the "Save" button to add the Nano Mainnet to your MetaMask wallet
- Confirm the Network:
- MetaMask will prompt you to confirm the network details. Review the information and click "Confirm" to complete the process
- View Nano Mainnet:
- The Nano Mainnet will now be added to your MetaMask wallet. You can view it by clicking the "Ethereum Mainnet" dropdown and selecting "Nano Mainnet"
- Add Nano Tokens:
- If you do not already have Nano tokens in your MetaMask wallet, you can import them by clicking the "Import Tokens" button in the MetaMask interface.
- Enter the Nano token address: "nano_39xt343hznu9xwo6ez41kpb6zcxakeepotdsse7tode8w89wwzs7z4a8xt43"
- Click "Add Custom Token" and follow the prompts to complete the import
- Send and Receive Nano:
- You can now send and receive Nano tokens through your MetaMask wallet.
- To send Nano, click the "Send" button and enter the recipient's address and the amount to send.
- To receive Nano, provide your MetaMask wallet address or scan the QR code to share it with the sender.
