How to Add the Moonriver Mainnet (MOVR) to MetaMask
MetaMask is a popular crypto wallet that supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies and tokens. It can be used to store, send, and receive crypto assets, as well as interact with decentralized applications (dApps).
Moonriver is a smart contract platform that is built on the Kusama network. It is designed to be a canary network for Polkadot, which means that it is a testbed for new features and updates that will eventually be rolled out to Polkadot.
MOVR is the native token of the Moonriver network. It is used to pay transaction fees, stake validators, and participate in governance.
In this guide, we will show you how to add the Moonriver Mainnet to MetaMask.
1. Install MetaMask
If you don't already have MetaMask installed, you can download it from the MetaMask website.
Once you have installed MetaMask, you will need to create a new wallet. You can do this by clicking on the "Create a Wallet" button.
2. Add the Moonriver Network
Once you have created a new MetaMask wallet, you can add the Moonriver Mainnet by clicking on the "Networks" tab in the MetaMask interface.
Then, click on the "Add Network" button.
In the "Network Name" field, enter "Moonriver."
In the "New RPC URL" field, enter "https://rpc.moonriver.moonbeam.network."
In the "Chain ID" field, enter "1285."
In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter "MOVR."
In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter "https://moonriver.moonbeam.network/explorer."
Click on the "Save" button.
3. Add the MOVR Token
Once you have added the Moonriver Mainnet to MetaMask, you can add the MOVR token by clicking on the "Tokens" tab in the MetaMask interface.
Then, click on the "Add Token" button.
In the "Token Contract Address" field, enter "0x98878B06940ae94095187253129f6a7e2f286f39."
Click on the "Add Token" button.
The MOVR token will now be added to your MetaMask wallet.
