How to add the MakerDAO Mainnet (MKR) to MetaMask.
By adding the MakerDAO Mainnet to MetaMask, you gain access to sending and receiving MKR tokens using the decentralized wallet.

MakerDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that governs the Maker Protocol, a lending platform that allows users to borrow and lend cryptocurrencies. MKR is the governance token of the MakerDAO, and it gives holders voting rights on changes to the Maker Protocol.
To add the MakerDAO Mainnet to MetaMask, you will need to:
- Open MetaMask and click on the "Add Network" button.
- Select the "Custom RPC" option.
Enter the following information into the fields:
- Network name: MakerDAO Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://rpc.xdaichain.com/
- Chain ID: 77
- Currency symbol: MKR
- Block explorer URL: https://blockscout.com/xdai/mainnet
- Click on the "Save" button.
- The MakerDAO Mainnet will now be added to your MetaMask wallet. You can now send and receive MKR tokens using MetaMask.
- Open MetaMask and click on the "Add Network" button.
The "Add Network" button is located in the top-right corner of the MetaMask window. When you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear.
- Select the "Custom RPC" option.
The "Custom RPC" option is located at the bottom of the drop-down menu. When you select it, a new window will appear.
- Enter the following information into the fields:
- Network name: MakerDAO Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://rpc.xdaichain.com/
- Chain ID: 77
- Currency symbol: MKR
- Block explorer URL: https://blockscout.com/xdai/mainnet
The network name is the name of the network that you are adding. The RPC URL is the address of the node that you want to use to connect to the network. The chain ID is a number that identifies the network. The currency symbol is the symbol of the native token of the network. The block explorer URL is the address of a website that you can use to view the transactions on the network.
- Click on the "Save" button.
The "Save" button is located at the bottom of the window. When you click on it, the new network will be added to your MetaMask wallet.
- The MakerDAO Mainnet will now be added to your MetaMask wallet. You can now send and receive MKR tokens using MetaMask.
