How to add ICON Mainnet (ICX) to MetaMask

MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that allows you to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies. It also allows you to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) built on the Ethereum blockchain.

ICON is a blockchain platform for decentralized applications. It has its own native cryptocurrency, ICX.

In order to add ICON Mainnet to MetaMask, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Install MetaMask

If you do not already have MetaMask installed, you can download it from the MetaMask website.

2. Create a MetaMask account

If you do not already have a MetaMask account, you will need to create one. You can do this by clicking on the "Create a Wallet" button on the MetaMask website.

3. Add the ICON Mainnet network to MetaMask

In the "Network Name" field, enter "ICON Mainnet". In the "New RPC URL" field, enter "https://mainnet3.icon.foundation/api/v3". In the "Chain ID" field, enter "1". In the "Symbol" field, enter "ICX". In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter "https://tracker.icon.foundation". Then, click on the "Save" button.

4. Add ICX to your MetaMask wallet

Once you have added the ICON Mainnet network to MetaMask, you can add ICX to your MetaMask wallet. To do this, click on the "Assets" tab in MetaMask, then click on the "Add Token" button.

In the "Token Contract Address" field, enter the ICX contract address: "0xb5a5f22694352c15b00323844ad545abb2b17f8a". Then, click on the "Next" button.

In the "Token Symbol" field, enter "ICX". In the "Token Decimal" field, enter "18". Then, click on the "Add Token" button.

5. You can now send and receive ICX using MetaMask

Once you have added ICX to your MetaMask wallet, you can send and receive ICX using MetaMask. To send ICX, click on the "Send" button in MetaMask, then enter the recipient's address and the amount of ICX you want to send. Then, click on the "Send" button.

To receive ICX, click on the "Receive" button in MetaMask, then copy your wallet address and send it to the sender. The sender can then send ICX to your wallet address.
