How to Add Harmony Mainnet (ONE) to MetaMask
Introduction
MetaMask is a popular cryptocurrency wallet that supports a wide range of blockchains, including Harmony. Adding Harmony Mainnet to MetaMask allows you to interact with the Harmony blockchain, send and receive ONE tokens, and access decentralized applications (dApps) built on Harmony. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Install MetaMask
- Visit the official MetaMask website and download the extension for your browser.
- Create a new wallet or import an existing one if you already have a MetaMask account.
Step 2: Add Harmony Mainnet
- Open MetaMask and click on the "Networks" tab.
- Click on the "Add Network" button.
- In the "Network Name" field, enter "Harmony Mainnet".
- In the "New RPC URL" field, enter the following: https://api.harmony.one
- In the "Chain ID" field, enter "1666600000".
- In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter "ONE".
- In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter: https://explorer.harmony.one
Step 3: Add ONE Token
- Click on the "Add Token" button in MetaMask.
- In the "Token Contract Address" field, enter the following: 0x049d36570daba5a093659660d93720a4e6a19fac
- Click on the "Add Token" button.
- Your MetaMask wallet will now display your ONE token balance.
Step 4: Deposit ONE Tokens
- To deposit ONE tokens to your MetaMask wallet, you can either send them from another wallet or use a crypto exchange.
- If you are sending ONE tokens from another wallet, copy the address of your MetaMask wallet and paste it into the recipient address field.
- If you are using a crypto exchange, follow the exchange's instructions to purchase ONE tokens and transfer them to your MetaMask wallet address.
