How To Add Core Chain MainNet (CORE) To MetaMask

Adding Core Chain MainNet (CORE) to MetaMask allows you to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts on the Core Chain blockchain.

Prerequisites:

• MetaMask is installed on your web browser.
• CORE has been acquired and stored in a wallet that supports it.

Step 1: Obtain CORE Counterfactual Address

• Install the Counterfactual Wallet from the App Store or Google Play Store.
• Create a new account or import an existing one.
• Once the wallet is created, you will be provided with a counterfactual address. Note this address down as you will need it later.

Step 2: Add CORE Network to MetaMask

• Open MetaMask and click "Add Network" in the top right corner.
• Select "Custom RPC" from the dropdown menu.
• Enter the following network details:

Network Name: Core Chain MainNet
New RPC URL: https://mainnet.corechain.io
Chain ID: 10000
Currency Symbol (Optional): CORE
Block Explorer URL (Optional): https://explorer.corechain.io/

• Click "Save" to add the network.

Step 3: Import Counterfactual Wallet Address

• Click the account icon in the top right corner of MetaMask.
• Select "Import Account."
• Choose "Private Key."
• Paste your counterfactual address into the private key field.
• Click "Import" to add the account.

Step 4: Fund Your MetaMask Account

• Transfer some CORE tokens from your wallet to your Counterfactual Wallet address.
• In MetaMask, open your CORE MainNet network.
• Select the "Send" tab.
• Enter the amount of CORE you want to transfer and the recipient address (which should be your counterfactual address).
• Click "Next" and confirm the transaction.

Step 5: Interact with Core Chain dApps

• Once you have transferred CORE tokens to your MetaMask account, you can start interacting with dApps on the Core Chain network.
• Open a dApp website or interface.
• Connect your MetaMask wallet to the dApp by selecting "Core Chain MainNet" in the network dropdown menu.
• You can now interact with the dApp using your CORE tokens.
