How to add a contact to your Trust Wallet address book?
Add contacts to Trust Wallet’s address book for secure, quick access to trusted addresses—save names, networks, and addresses with ease.
Aug 30, 2025 at 01:20 am
Add a Contact to Trust Wallet Address Book
1. Open the Trust Wallet application on your mobile device and ensure you are on the home screen displaying your wallet balances.
2. Tap the menu icon, usually located in the upper-left or upper-right corner of the screen, represented by three horizontal lines or a wallet icon.
3. Navigate to the “Settings” section by scrolling through the menu and selecting the gear icon labeled “Settings.”
4. Inside Settings, locate and tap on “Address Book,” which allows you to store frequently used wallet addresses for quick access.
5. Tap the “+” or “Add New Contact” button to begin entering a new address book entry.
Entering Contact Details
1. Enter a recognizable name for the contact, such as “Alice” or “DeFi Project Team,” to easily identify them later.
2. In the address field, carefully paste or type the recipient’s cryptocurrency wallet address. Double-check each character to avoid errors.
3. Select the correct network associated with the address, such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, or Polygon, to ensure compatibility.
4. Optionally, assign a profile picture or emoji to the contact for visual distinction within your address book.
5. Confirm all details are accurate, then tap “Save” to store the contact in your Trust Wallet address book.
Using Saved Contacts
1. When sending funds, open the wallet of the cryptocurrency you wish to transfer and tap “Send.”
2. In the recipient field, tap the address book icon, typically represented by a person or book symbol.
3. Browse or search your saved contacts and select the intended recipient from the list.
4. The correct wallet address and network will auto-populate, minimizing the risk of sending funds to an invalid or incorrect destination.
5. Proceed with the transaction as usual, reviewing gas fees and confirmations before finalizing the transfer.
Editing or Removing Contacts
1. Return to the “Address Book” section within the Trust Wallet settings menu.
2. Find the contact you wish to modify or delete and tap on their entry.
3. To edit, update the name, address, network, or avatar, then tap “Save” to apply changes.
4. To remove a contact, look for a trash icon or “Delete” option and confirm the action when prompted.
5. Deleted contacts are permanently removed and will no longer appear during transaction processes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add multiple addresses for the same contact?Trust Wallet allows only one address per contact entry. To store multiple addresses for the same person, create separate entries with distinct names, such as “John – ETH” and “John – BSC.”
Is the address book synced across devices? No. The address book is stored locally on the device where it was created. Restoring your wallet on a new device using the recovery phrase will not transfer saved contacts.
What happens if I save an incorrect address?Saving a wrong address does not immediately cause loss of funds. However, attempting to send assets to that address may result in irreversible transactions. Always verify addresses before saving or sending.
Are address book entries encrypted?Yes. Contact information is stored securely within the app’s local storage, protected by your device’s passcode and Trust Wallet’s internal encryption protocols.
