How to Add the Acala Network Mainnet (ACA) to MetaMask
Adding the Acala Network Mainnet to MetaMask allows users to interact with the Acala blockchain, which hosts a range of decentralized applications and services. Here are the steps on how to connect your MetaMask wallet to the Acala Network Mainnet:
Step 1: Install MetaMask
- Visit the official MetaMask website and download the extension for your preferred browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Brave).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the extension and create a new wallet. If you already have a MetaMask wallet, skip to Step 2.
Step 2: Add the Acala Network to MetaMask
- Open MetaMask and click on the network name displayed in the top right corner (by default, it will be "Ethereum Mainnet").
- From the drop-down menu, select "Add Network."
- In the "Network Name" field, enter "Acala."
- In the "New RPC URL" field, enter: https://acala.subscan.io/rpc
- In the "Chain ID" field, enter: 595
- In the "Currency Symbol" field, enter: ACA
- In the "Block Explorer URL" field, enter: https://acala.subscan.io
Step 3: Confirm and Save Network
- Click the "Save" button to add the Acala Network to MetaMask.
- Your MetaMask wallet will now be connected to the Acala Network Mainnet. You can switch between the Ethereum Mainnet and Acala Network by clicking on the network name in the top right corner.
Step 4: Add ACA Tokens to Your MetaMask Wallet (Optional)
If you have ACA tokens that are not displayed in your MetaMask wallet, you can add them by following these steps:
- Open MetaMask and click on the "Add Token" button at the bottom of the page.
- In the "Search Tokens" field, enter "ACA."
- Select Acala from the list of search results and click the "Add Token" button.
