How to check transaction history on Phantom Wallet? (Activity Log)
Phantom’s Activity tab shows all on-chain wallet interactions—filter by network/type, view full details (hash, fees, explorer link), and export CSVs; failed and self-transfers appear too.
Mar 11, 2026 at 12:40 pm
Accessing the Activity Tab
1. Open the Phantom Wallet extension in your browser or launch the mobile application.
2. Ensure you are logged into the correct wallet account where the transactions occurred.
3. Click or tap on the Activity tab located at the bottom navigation bar on mobile or the left sidebar on desktop.
4. The interface displays a chronological list of all on-chain interactions tied to that wallet address.
5. Each entry includes timestamp, transaction type (e.g., transfer, swap, NFT mint), status (confirmed, pending, failed), and associated network (Solana, Ethereum, etc.).
Filtering Transactions by Network and Type
1. Tap the filter icon (usually three horizontal lines or a funnel symbol) adjacent to the Activity header.
2. Select one or more blockchain networks to narrow results — Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, or Base may appear depending on wallet configuration.
3. Choose specific action categories such as Send, Receive, Swap, Stake, or NFT Purchase.
4. Apply filters to isolate high-value transfers or recent failed attempts without manual scrolling.
5. Clear filters using the reset button if the view becomes overly restrictive.
Viewing Transaction Details
1. Tap or click any individual transaction row to open its full details page.
2. The page shows the transaction hash, block number, confirmation count, and exact time of inclusion in the ledger.
3. Expandable sections reveal sender and recipient addresses, token symbols, amounts sent/received, and fee deductions in native gas tokens.
4. A direct link to the blockchain explorer (e.g., Solscan, Etherscan) is embedded for external verification.
5. For swaps or program interactions, contract addresses and instruction logs are displayed under advanced view.
Exporting and Saving Records
1. On desktop Phantom, locate the export icon (downward arrow) in the top-right corner of the Activity tab.
2. Select CSV format to generate a downloadable spreadsheet containing date, hash, direction, asset, amount, fee, and status.
3. Mobile users can share transaction history via screenshot or copy individual hashes to clipboard for record-keeping.
4. Exported files retain timestamps in ISO 8601 format and include network identifiers for cross-chain reconciliation.
5. No authentication or cloud sync is required — all exports are client-side generated and locally stored.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do some transactions show “Unknown” instead of a recognizable dApp name?A: Phantom relies on on-chain program IDs and known contract registries. If a newly deployed or unindexed smart contract initiates an interaction, the wallet cannot resolve its human-readable label and defaults to “Unknown”.
Q: Can I see transactions from a connected hardware wallet in Phantom’s Activity log?A: Yes — provided the hardware device is authorized and the account is imported as a watch-only or fully signed address, all on-chain activity appears regardless of signing method.
Q: Are internal wallet transfers (e.g., moving SOL between two Phantom accounts) visible in Activity?A: Yes — every signed transaction broadcast to the chain appears, including self-transfers, provided they are submitted through Phantom’s interface or approved via its signature prompt.
Q: Does Phantom display failed transactions in the Activity tab?A: Yes — failed transactions appear with red status indicators and include error codes such as “Instruction Failed” or “Insufficient Funds”, alongside the exact slot and block where execution halted.
