How to Buy and Sell USDC: A Step-by-Step Pictorial Tutorial

1. Choose a USDC Exchange

Select a reputable cryptocurrency exchange that supports USDC trading, such as Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken. Create an account on the exchange and complete the KYC verification process.

2. Fund Your Account

Transfer fiat currency (e.g., USD) to your exchange account using supported payment methods like bank transfer or credit/debit card.

3. Find the USDC Market

Navigate to the USDC trading page on the exchange. This usually involves selecting "Trade" or "Markets" and searching for "USDC".

4. Choose an Order Type

There are two main order types:

  • Market Order: Executes immediately at the current market price.
  • Limit Order: Sets a specific price at which you want to buy or sell USDC.

5. Place an Order

Enter the amount of USDC you want to buy or sell and select the order type. For a limit order, specify the desired price.

6. Review and Confirm

Carefully review the order details, including the price, amount, and order type. Once satisfied, confirm the order.

7. Track Your Order

The exchange will execute your order and update you on its status. You can track the order in the "My Orders" or "Order History" section.

8. Withdraw USDC (Optional)

If you wish to withdraw USDC to a different wallet or external account, navigate to the withdrawal page on the exchange and follow the instructions.

9. Sell USDC (Optional)

To sell USDC, simply follow the same steps as above but choose the "Sell USDC" option. Select a market or limit order, enter the amount, and confirm the trade.

10. Withdraw Proceeds (Optional)

Once your USDC has been sold, you can withdraw the proceeds to your fiat account or external wallet.
