how to check pending transaction on blockchain
To check a pending transaction on the blockchain, navigate to a block explorer website and enter the transaction hash, which can be obtained from a supported wallet or exchange, to view the transaction details and its status.

How to Check Pending Transactions on Blockchain
Step 1: Identify the Blockchain
- Determine the blockchain network on which the transaction is being executed (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana).
Step 2: Use a Block Explorer
- Navigate to a block explorer website that supports the relevant blockchain (e.g., Blockchair, Etherscan, SolScan).
Step 3: Find the Transaction Hash
- Obtain the transaction hash, a unique identifier that represents the transaction. You can usually find this in the wallet or exchange where you initiated the transaction.
Step 4: Enter the Transaction Hash into the Block Explorer
- Copy and paste the transaction hash into the search bar of the block explorer.
Step 5: Monitor the Transaction Status
The block explorer will display the transaction details, including its status. Common transaction statuses include:
- Pending: The transaction is currently being processed by the blockchain network.
- Confirmed: The transaction has been included in a block and is considered permanent.
- Failed: The transaction was not successful and will not be processed further.
Step 6: Check for Block Confirmation
- If the transaction is pending, you can check how many block confirmations it has received. Block confirmations indicate the number of blocks that have been added to the blockchain since the transaction was processed. A higher number of confirmations makes the transaction more secure.
Step 7: Wait for Completion
- Depending on the blockchain and network congestion, pending transactions may take a few minutes to several hours to be confirmed.
Additional Tips:
- Use a reliable and up-to-date block explorer.
- Double-check the transaction hash before entering it into the block explorer.
- If the transaction remains pending for an extended period, contact the wallet or exchange you used.
- Be aware that some blockchains require a minimum transaction fee to be processed promptly.
