How to Sell CVX Coins
Convex Finance (CVX) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that allows users to earn rewards by providing liquidity to Curve Finance, a popular stablecoin exchange. CVX is the native token of Convex Finance and can be used to vote on protocol changes, participate in governance, and earn additional rewards.
If you want to sell your CVX coins, there are a few different methods you can use. In this article, we will walk you through the steps on how to sell CVX coins on Uniswap, one of the most popular decentralized exchanges (DEXs).
Step 1: Create a MetaMask Wallet
The first step is to create a MetaMask wallet. MetaMask is a software wallet that allows you to store your cryptocurrencies and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) like Uniswap.
To create a MetaMask wallet, visit the MetaMask website and click on the "Create a Wallet" button. You will then be asked to create a password and agree to the terms of service.
Once you have created your MetaMask wallet, you will need to add the CVX token to your wallet. To do this, click on the "Add Token" button and search for "CVX". Click on the "Add Token" button next to the CVX token and your wallet will be updated.
Step 2: Fund Your MetaMask Wallet
Once you have created a MetaMask wallet, you will need to fund it with some ETH. ETH is the native token of the Ethereum blockchain and is used to pay for gas fees on Uniswap.
To fund your MetaMask wallet, you can either send ETH from another wallet or buy ETH directly through MetaMask. If you are new to cryptocurrencies, we recommend using a service like Coinbase or Binance to buy ETH.
Step 3: Connect Your MetaMask Wallet to Uniswap
Once you have funded your MetaMask wallet, you will need to connect it to Uniswap. To do this, go to the Uniswap website and click on the "Connect Wallet" button. A pop-up window will appear asking you to select your wallet. Click on the "MetaMask" button and your wallet will be connected to Uniswap.
Step 4: Select the CVX/ETH Pair
Once your MetaMask wallet is connected to Uniswap, you will need to select the CVX/ETH pair. To do this, click on the "Select a Currency" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and search for "CVX". Click on the "CVX/ETH" pair and the CVX/ETH trading window will appear.
Step 5: Enter the Amount of CVX You Want to Sell
In the CVX/ETH trading window, you will need to enter the amount of CVX you want to sell. You can either enter the amount in CVX or ETH.
If you enter the amount in CVX, Uniswap will automatically calculate the amount of ETH you will receive. If you enter the amount in ETH, Uniswap will automatically calculate the amount of CVX you will need to sell.
Step 6: Click the "Swap" Button
Once you have entered the amount of CVX you want to sell, click on the "Swap" button. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the transaction. Click on the "Confirm Swap" button and your transaction will be submitted to the Ethereum blockchain.
Step 7: Wait for the Transaction to Confirm
Once you have submitted your transaction, you will need to wait for it to be confirmed by the Ethereum blockchain. This can take a few minutes or even hours, depending on the network congestion.
Once your transaction has been confirmed, your CVX coins will be sold and you will receive the ETH in your MetaMask wallet.
