The Lido (LDO) token is the native cryptocurrency of the Lido Finance decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Lido Finance is a yield-generating protocol that allows users to stake their Ethereum (ETH) and earn rewards without having to maintain a validator node.
LDO is used for:
- Governance: LDO holders can participate in the governance of the Lido DAO by voting on proposals and electing members to the DAO's council.
- Staking rewards: LDO holders can earn staking rewards by delegating their LDO to a validator node.
- Fees: LDO is used to pay transaction fees on the Lido Finance platform.
