How to Withdraw Worldcoin (WLD) from Bybit to World App (Full Guide)
Worldcoin (WLD) withdrawals to World App must use Worldchain only—sending via Ethereum or other chains causes permanent loss, as World App accepts deposits exclusively on its native L2.
Jun 03, 2026 at 08:20 am
Understanding WLD Withdrawal Mechanics
1. Worldcoin (WLD) operates as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and also natively on its own Layer 2 blockchain, Worldchain. Bybit supports withdrawals to both networks, but World App currently only accepts deposits on Worldchain.
2. Attempting to withdraw WLD via Ethereum or any other chain incompatible with World App will result in permanent loss of funds. The destination address must be a valid Worldchain-compatible address generated inside the World App.
3. Withdrawals from Bybit require manual selection of the correct network. No automatic routing or fallback mechanism exists. Users bear full responsibility for network selection before confirming the transaction.
4. Transaction fees are dynamic and vary based on Worldchain congestion. Bybit displays the estimated fee prior to confirmation, denominated in WLD. This fee is deducted from the withdrawal amount.
5. Once broadcast, WLD transfers on Worldchain are irreversible. There is no centralized authority or smart contract function that allows cancellation, reversal, or recovery of mistakenly sent tokens.
Step-by-Step Withdrawal Process
1. Log into your Bybit account and navigate to the “Assets” section, then select “Withdraw”.
2. In the search bar, type “WLD” and select the Worldcoin token from the dropdown list.
3. Under “Network”, choose Worldchain. Do not select Ethereum, Base, or any other option — this selection is mandatory for compatibility with World App.
4. Paste the exact Worldchain deposit address copied from your World App wallet. This address begins with “0x” and is 42 characters long. Verify each character manually — even a single mismatched character invalidates the transaction.
5. Enter the withdrawal amount, ensuring it exceeds the minimum threshold set by Bybit and leaves sufficient balance to cover the network fee. Confirm all details before clicking “Submit”.
Retrieving Your Worldchain Deposit Address
1. Open the World App on your mobile device and ensure you are logged into the correct World ID account.
2. Tap “Wallet”, then tap the “+” icon or “Receive” button located at the bottom center of the screen.
3. Select “WLD” from the asset list. The interface will display your unique Worldchain deposit address.
4. Tap the copy icon next to the address. A system notification confirms successful copying. Do not modify or truncate the address in any way.
5. Avoid using screenshots or third-party clipboard managers. Direct copy-paste minimizes transcription errors and ensures cryptographic integrity.
Post-Withdrawal Verification Steps
1. After submitting the withdrawal on Bybit, locate the transaction ID (TXID) in the confirmation dialog or email receipt.
2. Visit https://worldchain.explorer.worldcoin.org and paste the TXID into the search bar. The explorer will show block confirmation status, timestamp, and destination address.
3. Return to World App and pull down to refresh the wallet balance. WLD may take between 1–5 minutes to appear, depending on Worldchain block time and finality settings.
4. If the balance does not update after 10 minutes, cross-check the TXID on the explorer to confirm successful inclusion in a block and accurate destination address.
5. In case of discrepancy, compare the destination address shown on the explorer with the one copied from World App — any mismatch indicates an input error during withdrawal initiation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I withdraw WLD from Bybit to a hardware wallet?A: No. Hardware wallets do not support Worldchain natively. Only World App generates and manages compatible Worldchain addresses.
Q: What happens if I select Ethereum instead of Worldchain during withdrawal?A: The WLD will be sent to an Ethereum address that World App cannot recognize or access. The tokens become irretrievable and unusable within the Worldcoin ecosystem.
Q: Does Bybit charge additional fees beyond the Worldchain network fee?A: Yes. Bybit applies a fixed withdrawal fee of 1.0 WLD per transaction, separate from the variable gas fee charged by Worldchain.
Q: Is there a daily withdrawal limit for WLD on Bybit?A: Unverified accounts face a 50 WLD daily limit. Fully KYC-verified accounts have no fixed cap, though large withdrawals may trigger manual review based on risk parameters.
