How to Swap Ethereum (ETH) to USDT on OKX (Easy Method)
OKX的Swap接口支持零Gas费ETH→ERC-20 USDT兑换,自动选最优网络、实时显示滑点与到账时间,全程无需私钥,最小交易额仅0.001 ETH。
Jun 07, 2026 at 03:00 am
Accessing the Swap Interface
1. Log in to your OKX account using verified credentials and two-factor authentication.
2. Navigate to the top navigation bar and click on the Trade dropdown menu.
3. Select Swap from the list—this opens a dedicated interface optimized for token conversions without order book matching.
4. Confirm that your account is fully KYC-verified, as unverified accounts face swap limits and restricted asset availability.
5. Ensure sufficient balance of ETH in your Funding Account, not just in trading or margin sub-accounts.
Selecting Assets and Configuring Parameters
1. In the Swap panel, locate the source asset field and click the asset icon or input field to open the token selector.
2. Search for and select ETH as the input token; the system auto-detects network compatibility (Ethereum Mainnet by default).
3. Click the target asset field and choose USDT; OKX displays available USDT variants including ERC-20, TRC-20, and BEP-20.
4. The interface automatically selects the most cost-efficient USDT version based on current gas fees and liquidity depth.
5. Enter the exact ETH amount you wish to convert; the estimated USDT output updates in real time, factoring in slippage and pool reserves.
Reviewing Transaction Details
1. A breakdown appears showing the exact input ETH, expected USDT output, slippage tolerance (default 0.5%), and estimated network fee.
2. The slippage control slider allows manual adjustment—lower values increase execution certainty but may cause transaction failure during volatility.
3. The fee display shows both the protocol fee (0.0001%–0.1%, depending on VIP level) and any applicable network gas cost if bridging across chains.
4. A warning banner appears if the selected USDT network differs from your deposit history, prompting confirmation before proceeding.
5. The “Estimated arrival time” reflects typical block confirmations: under 3 minutes for ERC-20 USDT, under 1 minute for TRC-20 USDT.
Executing the Swap
1. Click the green Confirm Swap button after verifying all parameters.
2. A modal window requests your passphrase—not your login password—to authorize the transaction cryptographically.
3. Upon correct passphrase entry, the system broadcasts the swap request to the designated liquidity pool via OKX’s internal routing engine.
4. Status changes to Pending Execution with a unique transaction ID visible in the activity log.
5. Once settled, USDT appears instantly in your Funding Account; no manual withdrawal step is required for same-chain swaps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I swap ETH to USDT without paying gas fees?Yes. OKX covers Ethereum network gas fees for all swaps executed within its native Swap interface when converting ETH to ERC-20 USDT.
Q: Why does my USDT balance not update immediately after swap confirmation? This occurs only when selecting non-ERC-20 USDT variants. TRC-20 or BEP-20 transfers require cross-chain settlement, which takes 1–2 minutes and depends on destination chain congestion.
Q: Is there a minimum ETH amount required for swapping? The minimum is 0.001 ETH. Attempts below this threshold trigger an error message stating “Amount too small to process.”
Q: Does OKX store my private keys during the swap process? No. Swaps are executed server-side using OKX’s custodial liquidity pools. Your private keys remain offline and never exposed to the platform’s infrastructure.
